I like The Dock. Andy, I swear the check will be on it's way soon...Unfortunately between vacations, bills etc. the Breakers invoice has kept falling to the bottom of the stack of to be paids!
The more I hear the Dock, the more I like it. Standing on the dock, watching the Breakers. It works. Still haven't paid, Mike? At least I finally got Julie to send in her check this week.
My friend and I are planning on getting season tickets in the supporters section, but I'm probably going to wait a while before getting them. Too much going on right now. Is there a website for the supporters group yet?
Yes, but it's currently being overhauled. We're working on getting a logo and website set up, hopefully soon.
Some Lilly info..... sounds like she knows where she is going already... or hoping... http://www.boston.com/lifestyle/food/articles/2008/08/06/above_and_beyond_with_duffy/
I'd love to see her with the Freedom, but she belongs in Boston - it would be foolish to put her anywhere else.
There was never a question where she was going to play...She's made it clear it's Boston or retirement. Furthermore, I don't think her coming here will count towards our allocation nearly as much as some people think. I'm glad to have her...I think she'll help develop the younger players we end up with but I wouldn't want to sacrifice the NT or International allocation we'll get. I can't wait for these allocations, drafts etc...
Where else are you going to put a group of 500 lol? Just think how far we will be from the main security forces! Get there early so you can park your beer close to their set-up. Ever hear the saying "You get what you pay for" ?
http://library.kraftsportsgroup.com/2008_parking_grounds_map.pdf Head north young man! Unfortunately, I'll most likely be spending all of my time in the MR lot... I'm a bit disappointed that Joe couldn't work out a deal with the Revs to set up an area in the VIP lots. Have the 500+ park elsewhere and make their way over to the Breakers area near the stadium... sadly, a second bad mark against Breakers management...
It's at the very back of P10, across Rt 1 from the stadium. P10 is one of the new designated "tailgate" lots, tailgating isn't allowed in the lots adjacent to the stadium any more (other than the season ticket/Riders areas) due to Patriot Place retail parking.
What was the first bad mark? As a Revs STH, I would have liked a closer set-up too, but it wouldn't be a concvenience for most of the Breakers folks.... or are most of the 500 also Revs STH's? Free tickets, free parking, free food.... one of the better deals most people will ever see at Gillette...
Failing to have a viewing party for the Gold Medal Match. Red Star Chicago had one for every game of the tourney.
OoOoOoOo..... OK, no argument, I'll give you that as a major missed opportunity. Just curious, what did the other 5 teams do? Including the 3 without names, 2 of which don't habe venues and one you can't even get ticket info for? What a tough crowd! I love it!
It's not a deal breaker bad mark for sure...I'll be a season ticket holder regardless of what they do... I dont think it would inconvience the non-sth's at all...they could still park at the patriot place lot and walk over to the vip lot....If the Breakers had been able to secure a area of which to set up a tailgate.... Who knows, maybe they did try to make that happen and the Revs didnt go for it...I'm sure Andy will let us know what the thought process was... The Gold medal viewing thing did piss me off a bit...ok alot. I hate to see Peter Wilt do something better than Joe Cummings. I think everyone who knows both, knows who the better man is... I'm sure Joe will prove that with his first trophy!
Totally fair points haha. I was just merely answering your question because Revs Fan 1 and I discussed that at the Revs-DCU game.
