Well, I said in the first week that everything would come down to this match. However I thought it was going to be a battle for 1st place, not us trying to earn a spot in the 3/4 hole...

    And as I expected....From Charlie's Twitter:

LASolGMSol: have their first play off game Sunday in Boston- no misprint - this game has the same meaning as a semi for us-

LA is on a downslide...just 1 point and 2 goals scored out of their last three matches...sounds familiar?

I do not want to back into the playoffs. In fact this team is way to talented to even be in this position! Anything short of three points is disgraceful IMO.

We should have a very good crowd. I'm sure alot of people cheering for Marta. We need to fill the Dock. We need more streamers than we can possibly throw. Tailgate starts at 2pm. Be there!

    Just win baby!:D

FYI, if you're looking to buy tickets for the game, check this web site first: http://riptide08.com/

If I were to order Riptide merchandise, would I be able to pick it up at the tailgate? Are scarves still available? And, where exactly is the Riptide tailgate? I read the description of where it is, but I'm still having difficulty picturing it. When I've gone to games in the past, the parking ushers usually just wave me around to the back 40.

If the weather holds, it should be a very well-attended game.

Merchandise will be available, especially the scarves. For the tailgate, we only have 6 spots so you would still have to park in the back, but you can walk over and join us. We are in the owner's lot right on North Harvard Street.

As I just learned last week, it only costs $5 to park in the Harvard Business School lot across from the stadium and the walk to the tailgate is the same or less. Better yet, drop off someone with your tailgate stuff at the curb (aka bus stop) about 100 feet from the tailgate before schlepping the car off to the lot.

I would save your streamers to throw at Coach D when you miss out on a playoff spot.

Nope, much more fun to watch Marta complain. Like she deserves special treatment. *yawn*

So we're down to the last game. If we beat LA, we end up in 4th. If we lose or tie, the season is over. There's no chance for another home game after tomorrow. So sad.

It really makes those ties and 1-0 losses hurt even more.

    Go Breakers!

It will be an interesting game indeed...

Sol Coach Rogers will probably play his regulars...Sky Blue doesn't have to worry about that...

Sunday will be a busy day for soccer fans...At 10 AM EST, Chelsea will play Man U in the FA community shield...Then Real Madrid will play DC United...Then there is the WPS game...

Galaxy did beat Revolution 2-1 on Sat. Last Galaxy victory in a regular season game in MA was in 1999...A bad omen for Boston Breakers?

Is Kelly Smith playing? If she is this must be her final game for the season.

I thought Scott and Smith were gone to National Team duty for the season. This is good news for Boston

Motivation, I think, is LA Sol's problem.

Kelly finds the back of the net. Clutch scoring by the English star player.
Aya Miyama probably will never score ... great hussle but not one eota of finishing in her.
