I'm hitting the reset button on the Other Teams thread with a special hello from an instant Barça legend.

Here to welcome you to the new OTT is Mateo Kovacic's greeting to the press at Mordor the Bernabeu. Skip to 3:50:

We can only assume it went down like this:
Kovacic calls his Croatian compatriot Rakitic nervous before his formal presentation at LPB.
    "Hello?"
"Ivan! Quick, help me out. Perez is about to present me to the press here in Madrid. How do you say 'good morning, everyone" in Spanish??"
    "Ah, 'bon dia a tots.'"
"OK, got it. Thanks a ton, man! I owe you one!"
    "No problem."

Fascinating albeit fledgling soccer analytics of "expected goals", that Messi has 3 of the greatest outperformances I think is not to say he will revert to the mean, more that what he does is unlike others. Otherwise it is like saying Steph Curry's long range shooting even when off balance and well defended will revert to the mean, and neither Messi nor Steph will do that. There will always be outliers, but Kane, yeah, don't make him your pick to lead the EPL in scoring in the new season prediction thread. http://fivethirtyeight.com/datalab/harry-kane-is-premier-leagues-luckiest-player/

Ah, my bad. Now corrected. Living in Rio must be getting to me. Next thing you know, I'll be watching games in a blaugrana thong.

    Sandals. Thong sandals. :whistling:

Pedro starting the game against West Brom... It's all so wierd.. Don't know if I want him to succeed just cause it's him or Chelsea to fail cause it's Chelsea and Jose.

The page has been turned. Thanx for the memories but Pedro is in the bin now with Cesc, Pep, Thiago and whatever others I don't care to think about.

They are not mutually exclusive. He can succeed and Chelsea can fail. :D

Diego Costa covered 110 yards in about 10 secs on that second goal. I thought only Ronaldo could do that ... :whistling:

Gijon keep Real Madrid at 0 x 0. Solid defense, apparently they had the 2nd best defense of the 2nd division last year.

Real Madrid has been shit ever since they put that CWC badge on their jersey and Ronaldo very nicely "dusted" it off. :ROFLMAO:
