River was robbed in Quito too... They invalidated a legit goal by Alario and didn't call a clear penalty for us. I think you guys will be fine at home though, all you have to do is win 1-0. We should have easily beaten Independiente 6-0 based on chances when we played them in the second leg, but the ball miraculously only went in once in el monumental that day. It was insane... even they couldn't understand how they got through. The Ecuadorians were absolutely vulnerable away from the altitude, so if they play like that again you guys shouldn't have any problems whatsoever considering how you only have to put one past them...
Our defense is playing like crap though. Even El Mellizo was furious at their incompetent display tonight.
True... I don't know if you watched the River-IDV second leg, though. The Ecuadorians didn't have a single chance and were whipped into their goal by River the entire 90 minutes. Post after post, goalie save after save, miss after miss... it was all River, they didn't even try to attack. In total, 36 shots taken by River that day, while Barovero could have been on vacation for all that mattered. I don't know how the Boca-IDV game will play out, but if Independiente repeats that display you guys will not have a single problem, even with a weak defense.
Sorry to Butt in like this.. but I think the reason IDV was in Defense mode during the second leg, is because they already had a 2 - 0 advantage.. so all they needed to do was defend.. but since Boca scored an Away Goal, IDV is going to be forced to attack more.. the same thing happened with Pumas.. Pumas scored an Away goal in Quito, so in Mexico IDV was attacking and Pressing Pumas like Crazy, until they got a goal.. anyways good luck to you guys.. and let the best team win.. but I'm hoping it's IDV that wins.. I hope IDV makes it to the final

I respectfully disagree.. you guys didn't score twice.. I saw the video again, and you can clearly see the ball didn't go ALL THE WAY IN.. the keeper actually Caught the ball and held on to it.. also the match should have been 6 - 0 in favor of IDV.. IDV had so many chances, but you guys got lucky.. by the way, I'm not trying to start a war.. I respect you guys as human beings and I think Boca is a great team that's better than IDV.. but IDV plays with HEART, and I only support Ecuadorian teams.. I hope IDV makes it to the final.. The goalie caught it and pulled it in well behind the line instead of trying to hold it out like he was supposed to. It's pretty clear in that picture I posted. Definite goal, but alas no goal line tech or an extra official there to confirm it. But whatever, we just have to take care of business at home. Also you're cool, definitely not offensive.
Looked to me like the second goal should have counted, but Boca played like garbage. I understand that they are just coming from preseason, I understand the altitude factor, but nothing excuses that poor all-around effort. The opponent deserves credit, but when you look at the difference between the players in terms of talent and trajectory there's no way in hell Boca should have lost that game. Lets hope they realize who they are and play like it this week at La Bombonera.
