More than a bit reckless. But, I have to admit that's a case where if there was no VAR, nothing would've been handed out. I personally believe goalies should be afforded protection against stuff like that, but it's something where the standard should be made clear before enforcing it that way. Great game despite a lot of shakiness early. Perez continues to scare the crap out of me with terrible gaffes, but he did assist one and score the other... Barrios is a hero for keeping the clean sheet. Andrada had a nice save near the end as well.
What a stressful match but in the end they did what they needed to do. Rossi scares me at times. He makes good saves but then horrible gaffes as well. Would have been disastrous to concede on that last goofy chance. Fortunately Pavon could get one to ice it. Dede proved that he deserved that red card in the first leg. No doubt in my mind that was intentional now after he tried to injure Rossi twice tonight, then knocked Pavon on the knee. He is a thug, plain and simple.
So... About Pipa never scoring in big matches... Huge result. Exactly what they needed in the home leg. Now to make Palmeiras sweat it out over there and hopefully get a road goal.

Unfortunately, the last couple of weeks the World Series took over. While, they showed the River match yesterday since the World Series was over, today they have Monterrey- Cruz Azul playing at 7:30 PST and that will get FOX Deportes more ratings. Now, if Mexico was still in the CL and a team had gone into the semis then I have no doubt they would've showed it on their network.
