For more details on the injury, from the linked article:

However, there was a bitter note: Bobby Wood was replaced early, in the eleventh minute. 96 doctor Felix Hessel immediately took care of the striker, went with him to the cabin. The diagnosis came after the match through coach André Breitenreiter: "He felt a pull from his back to his buttocks. We did not want to take any chances."

that's like what 22/23 games? I see that happening. He needs to find his first goal right out of the gate. The longer it takes a striker to score his 1st goal; the larger the stink.

Wood started and went 60 (I think) in what looks like a 2x60 freindly with PEC Zwolle. 96 replaced most (all?) of the team for 2nd "half." Bobby's 11 "won" the 1st 60 2-1 with both goals by Fullkrug off corners. 96 "won" the second half 1-0.

    Limited highlights.

to be clear, I'm not trying to hate on this move, I just think as primarily a sub he's more likely to come in between 1,000 and 1,500 minutes - that would seem like a realistic expectation to me.

ten starts and 10 substitute appearances (~30 minutes apiece) put you in the middle of that number.

H96 lost 3:2. Wood came in late but scored the pk as noted above. Here's a clip.

If you mean across all competition including friendlies, US appearance and cup I'd say near 100% if healthy.

Bund only, less likely. As a striker who will be used for his speed, I could easily see him not use 90 in all game and if H96 go through too many dry spells they will rotate formation. I bet Fullkrug was 2000+ but I don't think a lot of "pure" strikers break 2000 in league play in the Bund.

Only happens if he comes out of the gate strong and H96 stay solidly mid table or above all season.

If he's his club's first choice PK taker; that def helps

Has to be an automatic starter to get that job, and I'm not sure that's what they see him as. Not yet, anyway. There's an option to buy, but they're hedging their bets IMO.

If I'm reading these tweet right I think Wood drew but did not take a PK today. (H96 won 2 games with Udinese 5-1 and 2-1. I think Wood played the entire 2nd game.)

He does earn it. Whole game here. He's at 1:30:45. Uses his speed nicely.

the move at 1:18:29 is nice as well. If he and Fullkrug get on the same page it could be an ok season.

If someone can understand Bobby Wood, it's Dieter Schatzschneider who was not happy at @HSV either. The former striker of @ Hannover96 stands behind the new. # H96

Schatzschneider is a retired striker who works as a scout for Hannover. Holds the record for 2 BL goals and is Hannover's record goalscorer
