I know Bob LB spent a lot of time with you guys. I'm pretty sure you know he hasn't been well of late. Andrew, his son sent this to the Liverpool board yesterday. CockspurMember+ #41Yesterday at 1:39 PM Hi everyone, I am Bob's (Liverbird's) son Andrew. Please know that he greatly enjoyed speaking with each of you about his love for Liverpool Football club. Thank you for letting him into your lives. You'll never walk alone. Although we are in a moment of deep sadness, the sky is much bluer today. Our loving partner and father, Robert Brown, passed away at 4:20 in the afternoon yesterday, July 9. Our family is planning an opportunity to reflect on Bob’s life this Saturday July 14th at 3 o’clock in the afternoon at Murphy’s Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation. This group changes the lives of children by providing them with instruments that they could not otherwise afford. Music makes children smarter, happier, and brings light to the world. Bob asked that we host an Irish wake, to be held on Friday evening. Additional details will be shared in the coming days. https://www.mhopus.org/donate/ Murphy’s Funeral Home: 1102 W Broad St. Falls Church, VA 22046 Attached Files: 11218601_862105817212071_3549192475276183282_n.jpg File size: 63.7 KB Views: 5 IMG_7132.JPG
Big Rob has indicated that the team may be doing something at a match to acknowledge Bob -- probably not this weekend, but after.
This breaks my heart. I didn't know Bob well, only met him a few times, but I was enriched by his wit and insight on both the DC United and Liverpool boards, two loves we shared. Rest in Peace. YNWA asitis
Bob worked with me setting up the tailgates for the Screaming Eagles for several years. Loved chatting with him before games while serving fans drinks. Droll sense of humor and a good spirit.
didn't know him in person but I recognize the handle as one I didn't see very often on this board (at least in recent years) but when I did, I respected what he had to say. Condolences to his family and friends.
Just came from the wake at O'Sullivan's in Arlington. The room set aside was packed, and the laughter and tears were as plentiful as the beer. We was quite a humane human being, and he shall be missed. To Bob!
It was nice meeting his kids, and a lot of BigSoccer posters. I just wish it was for a happier occasion. To Bob!
