Its an "Old Boys" type network. Once you're in you're set for life. The key is getting in. Bob has little chance IMO
http://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/view/151328/Phil-Brown-is-game-for-a-laugh/ This reminds me of the "show some emotions, per favor" lessons that Bob took right before the World Cup. After the loss to Ghana, Bob took a full-facial botox treatment to return to his usual self.
Bob's agreed to extend his contract with the USSF through the end of 2014. Don't think he'll be going to Villa now.
So disappointed...and not for Aston Villa...four more years of his ineffective 4-4-2, defensive game plans and kick-n-chase counterattacks...boo. I think I heard every dual nationality player debating which team to play for just file for their other choice all at the same time...
Defensive gameplans and counterattacks? We outpossessed the other team 3 out of 4 matches at the World Cup and defense was obviously the weakness of the US. Thus playing 2 box-to-box midfielders is a smart plan.
We lost in the first elimination game. He chose Ricardo Clark as his box to box guy over Edu in the Ghana game. He went back to the crappy 4-4-2 after having success with a variation of the 4-5-1 in the previous come from behinds...he did not prepare his team well enough evidenced by early goals in their WC games...it does not make me happy to have possession, play defensively and lose. I personally don't like his tactics or his player management and was hoping we'd get a fresh start and some new ideas from a fresh coach...
let's all blame randy lerner for not hiring Bob. And if you like Bob, blame Lerner for not investing enough in the domestic game
Please stop paying attention to the games. You're interfering with our predetermined narrative and recycled complaints. That said, I wish the USSF had gone with another coach. The team would benefit from some new ideas, and BS would benefit from new flavors of bitching.
