I'm not sure if you're joking or not, but Aston Villa has already said that they're not interested.

I think a lot of the goof balls on here lose sight of the fact that Maradona is not allowed in several countries due to drugs and tax evasion claims and would not likely be granted a work permit in the UK...

Not even that, I just can't see any club of any note in England wanting him. Not a personal thing 'hand of god' thing, just his track record as a manager leaves a lot to be desired, plus he just doesn't seem suited to management full stop.

Eh. It sounds like this is all Bradley putting himself out there. There's little indication that Villa are seriously interested.

Who knows. It's just hard to imagine that the first American manager to land a managerial job in Europe* would be able to do so at such a high-profile club. And that it would be Bob Bradley of all people.

    * I know about Brent Goulet, but Elversberg isn't the type of situation that opens eyes.

exactly. All that's new is that there we can actually hear Bob's voice saying he has done exactly what he did for the Fulham job- give his name to the club.

Kinda sad that the "big boys" in our media can complain about bloggers, but can't even nab a decent interview with anyone important (other than Grant Wahl of course)

Considering Villa is currently getting shelled by the mighty Newcastle United they need to do something soon and I for one up it is Bradley.

The interview is here. It starts around 26'40" and it's pretty boring.

Yes I think this game will force the issue. Bradley is still being taken seriously in England as a contender for the job, but whether it'll force the issue in his favour is another thing.

I actually can't say he may or may not have it but if given the chance this would be a big for American soccer/football. BB gets the job I wonder what will happen to certain American players the likes of Donovan, M.Bradley, and few others would BB go on to buy them and players like A.Young, Carew, and few others will they stay or go or have respect for BB being their manager. It will be great to see BB become Aston Villa manager hopes it does happen.

Well, if he has to be a top candidate for a job, better the AV mess than the impending Wigan mess.

I know they're thinking it, but I can't understand how Villa fans would rather look like they did today than have an American coach instill more organization into the team.

Bob could do that team a lot of good right now.

I don't think I could do any worse than 6:0.

    I'd just play 6-4-0 formation.

Let'em try to score on that.

I think Bob pulled a similar formation once, except it was a 4-6-0, against mighty Barbados.
