Because the league and the teams are getting more and more competitive, which is requiring teams to search for talent in and out of Mexico. I don't see why that would make the league any worse. England, Spain, France, etc... follow this method (and I am not comparing the quality just the import practice) and you could not argue they are a lesser league because they live of talent from other countries. Your claim that FMF is not a top America League because it imports South American talent does not make much scenes to me.

In your opinion which other league is better than the FMF other than Argentine and Brazilians? I am not being sarcastic just would like to know.

    england and spain? Nice ligas

I agree about Brazil but I did say other than Brazil and Argentina.

As for your second claim those are arguments for our National team not so much for our League. True England and Spain's National team are underachievers but you can't argue that their leagues are not good, and they are heavily depended on foreign talent. And that was the discussion at hand, the league not the national team. :)

Anyways lets get back to Perez. I think he would have done well in Mexico, it's unfortunate it didn't plan out. I see you don't like to sleep. :D

I think that is a bit harsh, the guy definitely knew/knows how to finish the plays off when Big Mac would put him the passes so that on its own should give him some credit. Blas is great in the air and he is quite skilled along the ground. He would be a great addition to any club in the America's.

    Good points. :)

Was Blas Perez a key player in the Colombian league? The only games I saw him in was in the Gold Cup and in the Copa Libertadores and I was impressed with his performance. Did Cucuta miss him when he left?

I don't get to see much of S.A. leagues where I live, except for Argentina and some Brazil. but from what I read the Columbian league sound like its worth watching. Any place online where they show the games? Thanks in advance. :)

Thanks! And yes, Blas was a solid performer in the Colombian league, though he rose to more international recognition with his finishing in last year's Libertadores tournament. He's not a track star, high jumper, or the kind of player that blinds you with his dribbling, but he's a consistent finisher and he has good presence in the box.

The Colombian league can be watched in the US on Gol TV and TV Colombia which are available on most digital cable systems and the two major satellite providers.

Blas Perez was a key player when he was with cucuta deportivo, I wouldnt say cucuta missed him because Pajoy is very similar to blas perez just that pajoy is faster. but it did mess up the momentum they had, and i think thats why they lost the second leg against boca juniors. other then the crazy fog in bueno aires and insane fans throwing bottles and stuff at robinson zapata. umm about the colombian league yea its petty guud and guud derbys and rivalrys and could be compared to argentina and brasil leagues. i think the only place in north america u could watch he colombian league is Goltv. but dont know about online. watching colombian games is not as fun as going to them. i always used to go to atletico nacional games. lots of fun:D

I disagree with you Soydelmustang...Pajoy and Blas are two very different players.

While Blas is more of a Post-player and a consistent finisher, Pajoy is more speed and more technicality on the ball besides Blas is taller and has way more presence in the aerial game than Pajoy. During the Copa Libertadores Cucuta DID MISS HIM, Pajoy was absolutely shut down by Boca's left-back the paraguayan...Morel Rodriguez?

What's happening with Blaz Perez, anyone know, is he going back to Cucuta, or is he going to Cruz Azul, or what ?
    I dont understand Spanish.
Anyhow, him and Juan Manuel Martinez were by far the best players in Sout America last year. McNelly Torres is a good player also, as is Lionard Pajoy, but Pajoy is not as good as Blas Perez though, I have nothing against either of them, I am European, and I am basing my opinion only on their performances last year, plus if the player is quality it doesnt take much for it to show !
Please people, answer my question though, whats going on with Blas Perez and Lionar Pajoy ?!

Pajoy: a drug test came up positive, he is out for half 2008, but some big time lawyer is getting the appeal ready (the same guy that got the olympic medal back to cyclist Ma Luisa, last year)
the pajoy deal was weird, he came OK in a screening at one giving point at FCF, to find out that other previous one put him in trouble with conMebol!
