What are you guys talking about?
It is only the last two seasons that he has spent any time injured.

Since he broke through for Sunderland, here are the # of club games he's played by season.
    Sunderland
    09/10 - 28 starts, 10 sub appearances
    10/11 - 38 starts, 1 sub
    Liverpool
    11/12 - 41 started, 7 sub
    12/13 - 29 started, 15 sub
    13/14 - 39 started, 3 sub
    14/15 - 52 started, 2 sub
    15/16 - 27 started, 4 sub
    16/17 - 28 started, 0 sub

    He's hardly Studge-esque.

It'll be an amazing achievement if Ings ever plays regularly for Lpool again. To get back to your best following one acl repair is difficult enough and Danny is coming off his second . Having said that I doubt many have had a better attitude or shown more determination than Danny Ings .

"regularly play for Lpool again"...did he ever even get a string of games for us?

Certainly feel for the guy - and I hope he gets back on the pitch.

He had a great patch of matches under BR and looked like the solution for the parked bus.

    good news on phil ...

Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho has revealed that he is feeling "very well" after returning to training ahead of his side's Premier League contest with Southampton.

On Monday night, Coutinho had to be substituted during the early stages of the 1-0 win away at Watford but after a couple of days on the sidelines, it appears that he is ready to make an appearance at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.

The 24-year-old told the club's official website: "The injury is much better. It was a hard tackle and what happened was a dead leg. It caused a lot of pain in the area I was hit, but the pain has reduced now.

"At the moment, I am feeling very well - the first couple of days were the most painful. Of course, when you have to come out of such an important game like this one, and when you leave that early, it frustrates you, but thanks to God it was nothing major - just a strong tackle."

Coutinho has been one of Liverpool's most influential players this season, scoring 10 goals and providing six assists from 28 league outings.

Sadio Mané is on course in his recovery from a knee injury he suffered last season but won’t feature in Liverpool’s domestic pre-season friendlies.

Last season, during a Merseyside derby in April, Sadio Mané injured his knee and subsequently missed the remainder of the season. The injury required surgery and the forward spent the summer recovering in order to return in time for the 2017/18 season.

According to the club’s official website, Sadio Mané will return to training with his teammates within the next 10 days as he is on course in his recovery.

While he will miss pre-season fixtures against Tranmere Rovers and Wigan Athletic, Mané is certain to feature in Hong Kong, Germany and Dublin before the Premier League season begins in August.

Henderson will apparently be fit for pre-season, according to The Echo a few days ago.

Should be - he's in full training pics. Will be nice to get him and Mane back - team automatically is deeper with them available.

Not even through pre-season and we have our first mini-injury crisis - Clyne, Milner and Lovren nursing knocks and Clyne likely to miss the season opener at this point. Really hope VvD gets done somehow.

Liverpool have confirmed he will miss tonight’s game, but there will be no scan for the forward and last night’s substitution was just a precaution.

A statement on the club website reads:

Sturridge will be treated at the club’s training base in Rottach-Egern today and the issue will continue to be monitored, although there are currently no plans for a scan to take place in Germany.

Lallana out for 3 months max - but hopes to be back sooner. Klopp says don't plan on him for August and September

    Read that again - a 17 and a 20 year old.

And some folks wonder why we were chasing Keita this summer (and why we don't have a back up option).

i'm a huge Grujic fan and think he's going to be great for us, but if he's playing 20+ games for us this year we'll be fighting for 4th and nothing more.

OK smartarse - so who is your 1-for-1 replacement for Lallana? and bear in mind, when fit he will most likely be starting most games on the bench.
