Damn - what happened - I hope the 10 minute cameo didn't cause more issue.

We need a better plan than Gini Wijnaldum up front if we want to beat them 4-0.

    here we go again ....

    https://www.telegraph.co.uk/footbal...el-clyne-ruled-six-months-suffering-cruciate/
Liverpool's Nathaniel Clyne ruled out for six months after suffering cruciate ligament injury on tour
Clyne has left the club’s summer tour of the United States and flown back to the UK for an operation after receiving the diagnosis.

The 28-year-old was hurt in Liverpool’s first tour match against Borussia Dortmund in South Bend, but the extent of the damage was not realised until days later. Clyne was with the squad in Boston where the reduced swelling exposed the serious damage.

....... maybe we'll be seeing more of Hoever this year?

Since we didn't really expect to see all that much of Clyne anyway, it's not the end of the world - statistically, over a 2 year period, one of your players is likely to get this injury .... so, now that it's happened and its not wishing anything bad on him - I can say that I would rather it be Clyne than about 18 others....
In any case Joe Gomez is always likely to play when Trent doesn't, assuming Lovren and Matip are fit.

Clyne was good cover - but he really wasn't going to play much at all.

The Clyne injury may have cost the club 10 million if we were planning to sell him. Crystal Palace was interested.

He’s on the last year of his contract and will now probably leave for nothing.

Feel a bit sorry for him. He is decent player who performed a role when required but not at the high level required for team challenging for honours. He'd have done well at Palace but will now spend the most if not the whole of this season in rehabilitation.

    Wish him a good recovery.

Clyne would have been a great option to have for 20 games at either outside back position to spell our two starters.
Now those minutes are likely to go to Milner.

I think these niggles will be a feature of the next few weeks as we approach the season’s opening fixture.

    official site ...

Alisson Becker is set to miss Wednesday’s UEFA Super Cup clash with Chelsea after sustaining a calf injury against Norwich City on Friday night.

The goalkeeper was forced from the field after 38 minutes of the Reds’ 4-1 win over the Canaries in the opening game of the 2019-20 Premier League season.

Alisson was replaced by new signing Adrian between the sticks and will undergo a scan to determine the extent of the issue in the coming days.

However, Jürgen Klopp has confirmed the Brazilian will be ruled out of the trip to Istanbul next week. The boss told his post-match press conference: “There is actually nothing bad to say about the game apart from Ali’s injury. That is, of course, not good for us, but we have to see how serious it is and then we have to deal with it.

“It’s the calf and that’s it. He couldn’t carry on, that’s not a good sign. We have to see. Wednesday [in the Super Cup], he will not play – with all my experience, I can say that already. He is injured, for sure, so we have to see how much.”

Apparently it's a torn calf muscle so that's him out for a month or so

Yay - keita pulls out of trainings with a muscle problem.

Rushed back by Guinea - but the guy is starting to become a worry with injuries.

And after Klopp was raving about him too.

I’m starting to worry a bit about his availability issues.
