Liverpool have confirmed that the No. 10 underwent a successful procedure once back on Merseyside today, saying Mane “will be monitored over the next couple of days” before any decision is taken over his weekend involvement.

I wouldn’t push any one and save anyone who is a slight risk for bench.

Update from Maddock. Looking good 'cept for Keita.

Keita out for at least a fortnight with hamstring strain, but Milner shows he IS a machine, by coming back from injury weeks ahead of schedule. He's available for Saturday along with Salah and van Dijk, and Mane could make it too.

I would give Mane and VvD the weekend off. The latter especially--let him have a week without people banging him in the ribs.

same with Mane. if I'm a defender and he's out there, doesn't matter how taped up he is, a quick smack on that hand will hurt and distract him.

Gomez lower leg fracture - 6 weeks out.

    Better than I feared.

    Step up Lovren and Matip.

disagree. yes, Joe would play at RB for the bigger games, but TAA can do the job, and Clyne's available if Trent gets clogged. and Fab at RB isn't out of the question.

I'm much more concerned with Lovren or Matip at CB, tbh.

Considering Clyne has played 1 PL game and 1 League Cup game in 18 months, which of those games are you comfortable playing him in? Newcastle at home and Brighton away? More likely we'll see Milner or Fabinho.

Besides he's apparently injured right now which is why Camacho was on the bench last night.

We were fine last season with Matip and Lovren beside VVD.

    All good options.

I agree, the biggest miss will be Gomez at CB.

I wonder if Klopp views Camacho as a full back long term. He played there in preseason, but he is naturally an attacking winger. Trent was never a fullback growing up either, so you never know.

I don't know why you guys are so worried about Lovgren. He has looked great since VVD showed up....

The only game that really worries me is th eone vs Napoli next week, where I would have liked Gomez defensively alongside Lovgren and VVD.
However, on the flip side of that, we may need a few goals, so Trent and Andy may both be needed bombing forward ...
