UK mini series that has just finished it's second series here. Not sure if it will be shown in the U.S but if not then try and watch it online somewhere. Truly brilliant TV, getting rave reviews. I believe Warner Bros have purchased one episode to turn it into a film Written by Charlie Brooker (well known comedian/satirist over here) and is described as 'a hybrid of The Twilight Zone and Tales of the Unexpected which taps into our contemporary unease about our modern world' and 'a dark look at what could be, and a very deep look at the worst of human nature'
Those less interested in politics may disagree but I thought the last one was particularly good. http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/sam...the-waldo-moment_b_2764672.html?utm_hp_ref=uk Took a little while to get used to the young student lad from the BT advert in a 'real acting' role but he was pretty good IMO.
I've seen the first two this series and all of last series. Haven't watched the last one yet though. Will watch on 4oD over the weekend.
Finally started watching this over the weekend, only managed to take in the first episode, Nosedive. If the plot was supposed to make me uncomfortable, then it did so in spades. Loved Cherry Jones as President Taylor in 24, and it wasn't the first time she acted alongside Bryce Dallas Howard (The Village). Was pleasantly surprised to see her role in this.
San Junipero was my favourite, but I would say 5 of the 6 episodes are 10/10 and probably the best 5 tv shows this year. There are previous series to be watched too which are just as good.
Yeah, I really did like the San Junipero one as well. Took me a while to recognize Mackenzie Davis, from Halt and Catch Fire. The second episode, Playtest, was a bit of a mindf*ck ... but I guess they all are to one degree or another.
Season 4 came out on Netflix 12/29 and just finished off the final episode. My gosh is it incredible. So much so that I am suggesting to family members who are new to it to give Season 4 a go first.
