I could take out any reference to this being the transportation bill and it would still be an accurate representation of how things get done in Congress these days. Mild political rant aside, this is a very unfortunate outcome. Hopefully they make amends two years from now.

Tyler Wren was the rider most injured but appeared to escape without any broken bones.

Bike Manufacturer Serotta closing. Temporarily? http://www.bicycleretailer.com/nort...s-40-workforce-planning-shutdown#.Ufqjdaxo4ww http://www.timesunion.com/business/...-closing-to-be-temporary-official-4700263.php Not sure how big they are in your parts, but this one is going to hurt a lot of riders in the northeast. Their custom bikes were very popular with those with the income to acquire them (and the secondary market as well). There are lots of them near me. Serotta were the 'Huffy' bikes that 7-11 used back in the mid-late 80's.
Looks like that had something to do with it. They obviously had a tough business model and needed to seek outside help that was never delivered.
Thanks to Jitty for the article http://www.bicycling.com/senseless/index.html Good article on bike helmets
The first innovative bicycle path in the Netherlands will be paved with light stones that will charge during the day and emit light during the evening. The path will run by the home that Vincent van Gogh lived in from 1883-5
You know, I have been strongly considering a Specialized Roubaix. Might have to reconsider this. http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/specialized-pressures-canadian-bike-shop-to-change-name This is a PR nightmare for them. They should stop these dumb-ass lawsuits.
