Ronnie. I love Thierry and I am a Gooner and all, but plain and simple, Ronaldinho was the best player this year and did the most for his team...with class, which is more than can be said for a few on that list...
For what he did in leading FC Porto in the Champions League and the National title plus his performance in the Euro 2004, it's gotta be Deco. No other player won as much hardware as him in 2004!
All you people voting for henry over ronaldinho or sheva are absolute fvckin crackheads or french which is the same thing.
Haha, good point. But if you really knew me, you'd know that Stevie G is one of my favorite non-Everton players, despite that red shirt.
Remember plastics, it's based on performances in 2004. Henry wins it no contest. Yeah, Dinho had a good late season but where has he been this season?
Actually...er...Ricardo Carvalho was on Deco's team (both Portugal NT and Porto) meaning he won the same amount of hardware as him...
Re: No Zidane??? Since I believe Thierry Henry, Ronaldinho and Deco all had equally amazing years, I cannot vote. Oh, and why is that Greek dude on this list?
Re: No Zidane??? Probably on the list of former best players... (at least he isn't at the hairdresser's)
I get to watch some up close, and I vote for Deco. I think Ronaldinho is spectacular, but he has to lead the team to a title of importance before we can say he is such a great player. And I'd say the same for Henry, who has not helped Arsenal do anything of worth outside of the isles. Here you just have to look at what Porto was able to accomplish and what Barça is doing now, which is why I give Anderson de Souza the nod.
Re: No Zidane??? Because Zagorakis had a fantastic performance in one of the biggest tournaments in the world...
Re: No Zidane??? Well, okay.... But this is for the best player of 2004. Not the best player of June, 2004.
