My XI- Forwards- Lewandowski(C), Aubameyang Midfielders- Ribéry, Vidal, Kagawa, Malli Defenders- Alaba, Hummels, Bartra, Hauke Wahl (Ran out of money lol!) GK- Neuer
I have never played this before, so my lineup may very well be terrible, but it looks like this: -------------------------Volland------------------------ Bellarabi---------------------------------Halilovic -----------Vidal----Dahoud---Junozovic-------- Rodriguez------Knoche---Bartra---Wendell ------------------------Horn----------------------------- Bench: Gellos (random GK), Süle, Avdijaj, Bruno Henrique
Not bad at all. I have the same backup GK. All of my bench players were minimum price because I went all in on my starting lineup. My bench consists of Gelios, Janker, Serdar, and Eggestein. So, if anyone gets injured I'll have to make transfers. I got 95 points from the Bayern match today, which put me at rank 763 out of 40,000. Bulk of my points came from getting 48 points from Lewandowski because I got double points from him being my captain.
I panicked and switched Alaba and Malli instead of Lahm and Schürrle. I got 5 and 2 points instead of 16 and 15. Still ended up with 126 points total, which is good for being at the top or near the top in all my leagues. I'm ranked 1389 out of 40,000+ overall currently, but if I had stuck with Schürrle and Lahm I'd be on 140 points and ranked 314 out of 40,000. Oh well. Dortmund players will be good for match day 2, they're playing Leipzig, who are basically a good 2. BL side IMO.
We have 9 members in the league now. Just a reminder, you have 48 hours left in the transfer window to make changes to your squad before Match Day 2, up to 3 transfers each week between match days.
My team: (3-4-3) GK: Sommer- Solid shot stopper. Always rated him decently. Not world class but solid enough with the team in front of him. Won't be the best keeper in the league but a safe pick for the price DEF- Boateng- Pretty self explanatory. Maybe a bit of a risk given his knock at EM2016 DEF- Heintze- Koln have a decent team, think they can finish above midtable. Looked good in the back 4 with Hector last season. DEF- Brooks- One of the league's best defenders. Really like his ability, Hertha won't have the season they did last year but should still be strong MID- Kampl (C)- no bias... just sayin.... MID- Vidal- Best 2 way midfielder in the league. Worth every penny MID- Keita/Malli- Not the on the best teams or even team's expected to challenge for Europe. really like both players. FWD- Meier- Should bang in a ton even though he's 30+ FWD- Embolo- Always been a fan of this guy... might be too early to have paid 12m for him but think he'll be a good talent FWD- Bruno Henrique- Given the budget worth a shot Subs are Heimeroth, Huebner, Calsen-Brakcer, Green
Remember you can update your team with 3 transfers between match days. We have 12 members in the league now. There are many players who were not expected to be stars or regular starters who are available at significantly undervalued amounts, or players who are designated as midfielders by the fantasy league playing as defenders (or the other way around) that can be a bonus for fantasy league managers.
