I'm never sure what they are since I'm always underneath them. From what I heard it was small and underwhelming. Normally I can find a picture somewhere, but didn't see one this time.

still not sure what it is... but there ya go.

slightly more on topic..... Bethlehem leads all of the MLS owned teams in attendance early on. 3K+ for the first two games. (I still think they should be able to do better in the Lehigh Valley, but whatever)

You just need to be patient. We're only in year eight. These things take time. They need at least eight more years before we can start talking about results.

I mean honestly the Academy does seem solid.... but Kinkead made the point in his article from last week... is a team of 11 Derek Jones Caliber players really going to be good enough? No way it cuts it... Especially not as the years go on and teams continue to up their spending.... not a chance in hell.

The academy gives you maybe 2-3 solid role-players and spot starters. Even on teams with supposedly amazing academy products like Dallas you're still relying primarily on outside talent.

The whole "we're building through youth and our academy" thing is smoke and mirrors to me. It's another way of taking pressure off in the near term by promising fans that the good years are perpetually "just around the corner!". It's a continuation of the whole "forever in year two of the five year plan" that the Union has become infamous for.

I bet it’s an announcement about Indy Eleven joining USL, rather than you know... player-related.

Interesting pedigree, at least. Probably a very good signing for BSFC with some first team upside. Can't be worse than Charlie Davies.

He scored 18 goals in his first USL season and 9 in a shortened second season. He’s a good get for BSFC.

He'll be the Union's BIG off-season acquisition in Dec 2018!

He’s probably an even replacement or improvement on the guy who they just promoted, who’s probably cheaper and better as the third striker than Davies was. It’s not worth getting excited about positively or negatively as a Union fan.

Who wants to bet he's the opening day striker under head coach Pat Noonan in March 2019?

Steel just signed Prosper Chiluya, a 19 year old LB from Zambia, on loan. His highlight reel as a U-20 player looks really good. He's definitely in the Fabinho mold. Hopefully him or Real solve the LB position down the road.
