Bethlehem Steel FC Catch-All [R]

I just found out that Lancaster has a team in the 5th tier of the pyramid called AFC Lancaster thst plays their home games at Keegan Rosenberry ' s high school, Lancaster Mennonite. The Lions play in the recently formed American Soccer League.

 

I hope they meet the Union in Open Cup play.

 

For the next 60 years!

The Union love making deals with the Cosmos.

 

I can just see him turning into the I've Made A Huge Mistake Gob meme after signing his contract and reading the SI article about NASL.

 

He's probably just psyched that he might go to the playoffs after all.

I'm gonna LOL so hard when the Cosmos end up in USL.

 

And end up playing at Coney Island in a single-A (short season!) baseball stadium.

I wonder if Bethlehem will remain D2 or drop to D3... I suspect at least a handful of the MLS owned teams will drop to D3.

Let me be clear: I'm not one of those people. WIth that being said, it could actually be worthwhile for those two divisions to have and would be pretty cool to see. MLS definitely shouldn't have pro rel but it might work well for USL.

 

Not a bad start, Bethlehem with the highest attendance of a lower-league team owned by an MLS franchise.

 

Steel currently are beating Cinny (playing with 10 men) 2-0. Time to call everyone one up!

It was more fun to watch than Saturday's game at least.

 

So is watching paint dry and grass grow, but most of us are not signing up to do that.
