For me Messi is the best in close space. Ronaldo is the only one that comes close.

    top3 for me
    1Messi the king of dribble
2Ronaldo the most complet dribbler(speed, agility, control, strength, trick)
3Cruyff Speed, eleganze, control and even good in close

I think Ronaldo 1vs1 was better than Messi, and any other. Ronaldo humilied the best defenders.

    Cruyff can do this??

    Cruyff can't, Best can't, Maradona can't
    Messi can, Ronaldo can.

Cruyff, Best, Maradona were strong dribblers only in the prairies, not in close space

I changed my mind Messi is the best.
    my top 3

    1Messi
    2Ronaldo
    3Ronaldhino

Giggs at 9th place?:) Thanks, mate, had a good laugh :ROFLMAO: You can put anyone on his place Sivori, Figo, Stojkovic, Savicevic, Baggio , Kinkladze, even Zico or Romario who were much better than him.

He actually did that regularly, lol. Ronaldinho is one of the best players in history, but I wouldn't put his dribbling specifically even in a top 15.

[Best's ability and effectiveness at taking on and beating opposition players in tight spaces combined w/taking HARD physical challenges and still managing to deliver a pass or sticking the ball in the back of the net are some of the things that he was quite well known for, mate.]

Best is the most overrated player in History don't enter in top 50, his reputation is based on what he has done off the field. In Great Britain Players like Chaltron and Giggs showed a lot more of him

[Why would I do that when I was talking about BEST? Maybe I should link some vids to "Der Kaiser" and Jaap Stam in action to show you what a great central defender Neil Franklin was while I'm at it?]

[Tell an OT regular that saw both Best and Giggs from the front- to the back-end of their playing careers that Giggs was a better winger or superior footballer to Best. Now count down the seconds until they laugh you out of the room, mate... ;)]

Giggs has made a career much higher than the overrated Best (do not enter in top 50), I do not care what they say the nostalgic. Best had more talent but has preferred to drink and go to women.

[FACT not nostalgia: I suppose that the '68 Ballon d'Or was given out for excellence in boozing it up and chasing birds then?

    Amongst numerous other examples...]

[Owen was also a damn fine striker/goal-scorer when all the parts were clicking right: thanks for letting us know that you've only seen both Best and Owen play in the FIFA and PES series, mate.

Do you think that Best should be given the Translateral Hypervelocity card as well as being a Post Player? ;)]

[Best is rated as one of the top ball-players/dribblers because of what he did season after season on actual PITCHES; NOT from two minute YouTube vids, mate. Savicevic also usually lined-up more centrally than Best did so what was required of them w/the ball at their feet was different IMO: if Best played as a "CM" he was much more of a "box-to-box"-type.

You also have to remember that Best was playing on pitches that were often barely a step above a farm field in a league that knew how to handle the threat that wide players presented against opposition defenders that were essentially free to cut him in twain from any angle if it even remotely looked that they were trying to get the ball...]
