Ligue 1, Week 34, Sunday 23 April 2017, Parc Olympique Lyonnais Olympique Lyonnais 1 (Tousart 51') A.S. Monaco 2 (Falcao 36', Mbappé 44') Bernardo started and finished while Moutinho replaced Falcao late on 86'. Lyon being Monaco's bogie side, luckily (for Monaco) made 6 changes after getting to the Europa League semi's a few days before. Falcao headed in from close range with a ball watching defense (36'). Bernardo than through class and a bit of luck found space for a shot that thundered off the crossbar, unlucky. Shortly thereafter Bernardo got a consolation as he assisted Mbappé for the second although Mbappé still had plenty of work to do to score (17 in 17 games). From a good position Monaco's bells rang after Lyon got one back after the break. Tousart almost had a second but Monaco held on, in what was on paper the worst of the remaining games. http://www.ligue1.com/ligue1/feuille_match/82129
Coupe de France, Last 4, Wednesday 26 April, Parc des Princes Paris Saint-Germain 5 (Draxler 26', Cavani 31', Mbaé [OG] 50', Matuidi 52', Marquinhos 90') A.S. Monaco 0 Bernardo and Moutinho did not play, neither did Falcao, Mbappe, Fabinho...basically only Germain/Raggi who are regulars played. Let the pictures speak for themselves except by stating Monaco should of gone 1-0 up early and a De Sanctis frango gifted PSG their first (more later) in a game that they were expected to get a goleada. http://int.soccerway.com/matches/20...in-fc/association-sportive-monaco-fc/2433411/
Ligue 1, Week 35, Saturday 29 April 2017, Stade Louis II A.S. Monaco 3 (Glik 49', Mbappé 64', Lemar 75') Toulouse F.C. 1 (Toivonen 46') Bernardo and Moutinho both started and finished. Monaco were very lethargic even after the mid-week gift to P.S.G. in the French Cup. Dirar (winger) filling in showed his inexperience but it was Jemerson's air shot that gave Toulouse the lead. Monaco woke up and Glik found the net shortly after with a Moutinho assist. Toulouse GK Lafont then kicked a clearance to Bernardo who found (assisted) Mbappé for the reviravolta. Bernardo then chipped and started a good move that sealed the 3 points as Lemar scored, however Dirar who assisted Lemar was offside. P.S.G. lost 3-1 away to Nice and so Monaco are 3 ahead with a game in hand. If they win the game in hand then they will be 6 ahead with 3 games to go. They probably can afford to then lose 2 of the last 3 and still win by goal difference. In the 6 ahead scenario above they can definitely afford to win 1, draw 1 and lose 1 and become champions again for the first time since 1999/2000 and stop P.S.G. from getting 5 titiles in a row. However P.S.G. have won the League Cup and are in the final of the French Cup so they could still retain the two cups from last year. http://www.ligue1.com/ligue1/feuille_match/82140
Champions League, Last 4, Wednesday 3 May, State Louis II A.S. Monaco 0 Juventus F.C. 2 (Higuain 29', Higuain 59') Bernardo started and was replaced by Almamy Touré at 82' and Moutinho replaced Bakayoko at 66'. Did not rate Juventus that highly but to go away to Monaco this season and get a 0-2 is impressive. http://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/season=2017/matches/round=2000786/match=2019637/index.html
Ligue 1, Week 36, Saturday 6 May, Stade Marcel Picot A.S. Nancy Lorraine 0 A.S. Monaco 3 (Badila [OG] 3', Bernardo 40', Lemar 86') Bernardo started and was replaced by Raggi at 88' while Moutinho started and finished the game. Highlight Bernardo scores another header. Monaco close in on the title. http://www.ligue1.com/ligue1/feuille_match/82149
Champions League, Last 4, Tuesday 9 May, Juventus Stadium Juventus F.C. 2 (Mandzukic 33', Dani Alves 44') A.S. Monaco 1 (Mbappé 69) Moutinho started and finished while Bernardo was replaced by Lemar at 69'. Jardim's new tactics did not work but I guess he thought he had to try something different after the sobering home defeat. Very disappointing for Monaco but Juventus were just better and I hope they win the final against Real Merda. http://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/season=2017/matches/round=2000786/match=2019640/index.html

Ligue 1, Week 37, Sunday 14 May 2017, State Louis II A.S. Monaco 4 (Falcao 6', Bernardo 45', Falcao 69', Alonso [OG] 88') Lille Olympique Sporting Club 0 Bernardo started and finished while Moutinho was replaced by Carrillo who has come back from injury at 89'. After a early Falcao goal, Bernardo let Mbappé loose and he opened up Lille for Bernardo who scored Monaco's 100th league goal this season and Bernardo's 11th in all competitions, one more than his first season at Monaco. See Monaco's third for ping-pong football. http://www.ligue1.com/ligue1/feuille_match/82159
11. Ligue 1, Week 37, Sunday 14 May 2017, State Louis II A.S. Monaco 4 (Falcao 6', Bernardo 45', Falcao 69', Alonso [OG] 88') Lille Olympique Sporting Club 0
Ligue 1, Week 31 (posponed) Wednesday 17 May 2017, State Louis II A.S. Monaco 2 (Mbappé 19', Germain 93') A.S. Saint-Etienne 0 Moutinho started and finished while Bernardo was replaced by Germain at 69' who went on the score Monaco's second late on. Mbappé scored from a off side position for the first on 19 minutes. Monaco official Lique 1 Champions 2016/2017 first time since 1999/2000 and Jardim becomes only the second Portuguese coach to win Lique 1 as coach, the first was Artur Jorge for PSG. http://www.ligue1.com/ligue1/feuille_match/82099
Leandro Jardim deserved the Ligue 1 2016-2017 Manager of the year award for his hard work in Monaco, totally deserved it ! Another rising Portuguese coach in Ligue 1 is Sergio Conceicao from Nantes, they were having a very strong finished to the season since his takeover for the coaching position, very well-done and promising from Nantes as well.
Do not think anyone can argue about the Manager of the Year as most people had PSG down for 5 in a row. Conceição is doing well there and should probably stay at Nantes, he is a hot head though and will probably be in the news for something stupid in the future.
Ligue 1, Week 38, Saturday 20 May 2017, Roazhon Park Stade Rennes F.C. 2 (Diakhaby [P] 69', Diakhaby 91') A.S. Monaco 3 (Fabinho 42', Jemerson 48', Jorge 78') Moutinho stayed on the bench and Bernardo came on at 78' for Raggi (cameo). Fabinho scored one but not from the spot, Jemerson got his second of the season before Rennes got one back. Jorge then scored on his league debut start before Diakhaby got a late consolation and his second. Could well be Bernardo's last game for Monaco.
