Cavaleiro moves to Wolverhampton Wanderers (English 2nd Division) for a club record 7M pounds. I do not see Cavaleiro becoming world class but he might become at best a player on the level of Varela.

    Full Match

In Portugal's celebration match after become the European Champions France 2016 Bernardo comes on at half time to change Portugal's dynamics and IMO be the man of the match just ahead of Nani who scored twice and could of had a hatrick. Bernardo scores for the first time for Portugal A, sets up Nani for his second with a dink and Pepe for the fifth with a perfect cross to the back post.

Bernardo played from start to finish in a game in which only Quaresma came out well. Bernardo had a early shot on target and tried to deliver the killer ball but things were not falling Portugal's way. Fernando Santos got the job after Bento's first qualification match defeat for Euro 2016 (0-1 at home to Albania). This loss is much less disagreeable as it is probably the toughest game on paper in the 2018 Russia qualifiers (with maybe Hungary away), hopefully, like in the past things get better from here on out, with the next games being against Andorra at home (7 October) and Faroe Islands away (10 October).

Overall score for Bernardo 5 or 6/10, there was hype about Bernardo before the game which did not come to pass but calls for him to not play again for Portugal are frankly laughable. That said I expect more and hopefully he becomes more consistent for the seleção briefly.

    Ligue 1, Week 4, Saturday 10 September 2016 - Stade Pierre Mauroy

    Lille O.S.C. 1 A.S. Monaco 4

Did not watch the game on holiday (house being rebuilt so no internet).

Bernardo started and then was replaced by Moutinho '62 who gave Glik a very good assist for the fourth goal. The positioning of Enyeama (Lille) for Monaco's first goal is terrible! Bernardo was not involved in any of the goals and do not know about his performance otherwise.

Bernardo and Moutinho started and finished. Bernardo is in the mix goes passed two players and hits an unstoppable shot curling away, right inside the far past :D GOLAÇO!. Next Bernardo does a tidy back flick to Sidibé who crosses and Lemar gets on a rebound to thrash in the second. Tottenham score before the break but Monaco hold on to beat Tottenham and secure 3 points first game up away from home.

So far before the Rennes game yesterday.

    A.S. Monaco Ligue 1: Games 3, Goals 1, Assists 0, Mins 165

    A.S. Monaco Champions League: Games 5, Goals 2, Assists 0, Mins 294

    Portugal: Games 2, Goals 1, Assists 2, Mins 135

    Total: Games 10, Goals 3, Assists 2, Mins 594

Note that 2 of the games in the CL were subs with a total of 33 mins played and for Portugal he only played the second half of the first game. Also the minutes are an approximation.

A fact known by many 'Bernardofiquistas' is that he won Liga NOS, Taça de Liga and Taça de Portugal in 2013/14 having played one game in each competition as a sub, totalling a grand total of 31 minutes!

    2013/14

    Liga NOS: 5/10/14, Porto 1 Benfica 2 (8 minutos)

Taça de Portugal: 10/19/2013, Cinfães 0 Benfica 1 (10 minutos)

Taça de Liga: 1/25/2014, Benfica 1 Gil Vicente 0 (13 minutos)

Moutinho started and finished while Bernardo was rested at first and then replaced A. Traore '62. Troare assisted Falcao in scoring in his first Ligue 1 game in over 2 years. Bernardo tracked back to intercept a pass, powered forward and gave a ball to Carrillo whose return was just in front of Bernardo but which Lemar tapped in, on the far corner. Lastly Lemar had a Golaç0 late in the game. 7 straight wins, the best record for Monaco in over 10 years.

    O.G.C. Nice 4 A.S. Monaco 0

Both Bernardo and Moutinho started and finished (I think, bad day for links too ). Monaco started well but Nice were very efficient with opportunities and were 2-0 up at the break. After Falcao was smashed by the GK and replaced with Germain and Carrillo coming on for the second half. Balotelli scored in the first and second half with the second a assist from Pereira (second year on loan from F.C. Porto), which makes it 4 goals in two Ligue 1 games for Balotelli. From what I saw this was a efficient and ruthless counter attacking display from Nice who with this result replace Monaco on top of the league.

Both Bernardo and Moutinho started but both were replace at 64' and 71', respectively. Sub par game for Bernardo, although only Glik (Polish defender) was worth mentioning for Monaco as he scored the equaliser and then was the main reason the Nwakaeme own goal winner was conceded.

    A.S. Monaco 1 Bayern 04 Leverkusen 1

Bernardo and Moutinho both started though Bernardo was subbed at 81'. Lemar had a good opportunity early on and showed glimpses of his recent good form. While Bernardo should of scored with a good opportunity. Chicharito was a menace and Subašić was getting tested but it finished 0-0 at the change of ends. bad defending let Chicharito score with a easy header. Jardim introduced 3 late changes (Carrillo, Boschilia and Mbappé) to come from behind but it was Glik again who against Angers had basically given Monaco 3 points, this time he scored a scorcher in the 94' to get a point for Monaco who have now 4 in 2 CL games.

Bernardo and Moutinho start with Moutinho being replaced for being injured at 46' (not sure if he will be fit for Portugal's games versus Andorra and Faroe Islands) and Bernardo subbed for Boschilia 72'. Missed most of the first half but tuned in just in time for Bernardo's goal after a great dummy by Carrillo. Later Bernardo did a lovely little travela for Carrillo's first goal of the league season (got a second later on). One goa andl one assist in Monaco's biggest ever away win in Lique 1.

Deveria ter marcado com a cabeça, mas depois revendo os destaques ele teve um jogo razoável. Uma assistência (Cancelo) e um bom tiro na segunda metade do jogo.

Desculpas para a qualidade dos destaques.

Was watching Sporting who went down 1-0 early, switched to Porto who also went down 1-0 early on, so went to the Monaco game and L. Traore on loan from Monaco is the guy who scored for CSKA, Monaco too were 1-0 down. Switched to the Sporting game and that was a very good game, unfortunately Bernardo had a good game and I missed his goal. Moutinho was subbed on 41' so I think it is an injury.
