tickets went on sale yesterday for the upcoming derby, between two monster teams in the World,
tickets will be going fast, I believe Relvas travel will have the usually special fares for the game either out of Kennedy or Boston

Please note that this match will NOT be transmitted live by RTPi. This game will be transmitted via SportTV, so you either have to watch it through Bell ExpressVu in Canada or SPT on DishNetwork in the US (this package is to be confirmed as of yet, no matter what the papers say ;) )

A lot of the media attention will be going to the NT, but this is a sell out - no doubt about it.

This game will be crazy. The atmosphere at Luz should be off the charts. Especially considering the fact that Benfica will go into this game in 1st place 4 points ahead of Porto. That's something that hasn't happened in a long time.

...and with Maritimo having a home match against Moreirense, there is added pressure for the eagles and dragons to win the match.

Last happened in February of 1994. Benfica won that game 2-0, and we all know how that sesaon turned out. :)

The atmosphere in Benfica's stadium is almost like a 12th player in these big matches.

I have to say Benfica is looking very composed so far. Apart from the disaster in Belgium against Anderlecht they have been solid in their defense, consistent in the midfield and even though they haven't been brilliant in the attack they do have some good arguments, like good free kick takers.

Porto on the other hand has shown some improvement almost entirely because of Diego's rise of form. Collectively though, I think the main problem remains: the coach is still experimenting and evaluating his options, and the team doesn't seem to be confident enough to be agressive.
Anyway, Porto's individual talents may well solve a few problems like in the Supercup game.

my starting 11 for this game:

    -----------------Baia--------------------
    -Seitaridis----Pepe----J. Costa---Areias--
    ----------------Costinha-----------------
    ----Maniche----------------Diego--------
    Quaresma-------McCarthy-----C.Alberto--

    Looks good on paper....
