Missed the game, what's going on with Cardoso is he injured or just lost his place? Seemed to be our most promising cb last year.
Apparently his stagnated after a good first year with the B side. He has not been in the squad for the last few games. From the limited amount I have seen the only CB in the B side that I like the look of is Lindelöf. Defensively, I only like Varela (the keeper) and Lindelöf, though it must be said that there has been lots of changes in defence. Semedo, maybe in the mid-term.

Although not on the b team yet benfica has another Bernardo silva coming through the ranks. Kid seems very mature for his age.
What a mess the b team is atm. I think it's a waste having Hildeberto pereira playing lb and taarabt has no place in Benfica.
I think Jose Gomes needs to be in the B team permanently, he is the next diamond from our academy and needs to be fast tracked, yes he is only 16 but apart from Diogo Goncalves he's been the best player in the UYL
I dont fallow the youth system any more so I will take your word for it. As a former youth coach myself, I do sometimes worry about bringing players up quickly. Some do well, others need to be brought up more gradually. More need to go slower than quicker.
