I heard goalkeeper Davy Schollen is getting a lot of praise at NAC. Anyone saw him play lately?

Bart Goor scored for Feyenood today. He had the second goal in our victory over RBC. Thomas Buffel also played not too sure what he did though.

Stanley Aborah has made his debut for Ajax. Anyone knows who the other 7 Belgian youth players are over there, what position they play, and if they're any good? I know the last transfer was Toby Alderweireld, a fifteen year old defender.

Let's hope so. It will be a good deal for the NT. Urbain Hasaert is scouting Belgium intensively for Ajax.

"Good old Urbain" ! he had a great carreer in Belgium.
This can only be a good bonus for the NT has you said. It's a pity that those youngsters have to go abroad to progress instead of being educated in their own club in Belgium...this ain't gonna change soon I'm afraid...

I don't know, perhaps with Kompany and Van den Borre breaking through at Anderlecht and Genk focussing on youth players... Let's hope so, it truely is a pity that we can't keep our own youth players.

As far as I know: Goosens is at St Trond, Tom Peeters back in Belgium (2nd or 3rd div) and Regis Genaux is coaching back here - forgotten the club though.

And there's Ngalula (brother of Anderlecht's Junior) at Old Trafford.

    Welcome Mista John,

Peeters plays at KV Mechelen nowadays, third division. I hope Ngalula makes the first team. Ferguson seems to believe in him.

Time to revise this thread, might need some help though:

    Italy:

Jean-Francois Gillet: one of the best BARI players. Some big clubs are following this young goalie although his team is fighting against relegation.

Terrence Genaux and Olivier Renard: Still at Udinese?

Gabi Mudingayi: I believe he played for Torino? I did hear a lot of big clubs that were interested in this DMC.

    Spain:

Erwin Lemmens: lost his place to Carlos Idris Kameni at Espanyol.

Ronny Gaspercic: is he still at Betis?

    Scotland:

Joos Valgaeren: I heard he was playing again for Celtic.

    France:

Gregory Dufer: I think he's a regular starter for Caen.

Luigi Pieroni: after a difficult start he seems to have found his way to the goal. Werder Bremen also noticed this.

Roberto Bisconti: Regular starter for Nice.

Olivier Besengez: any help on this one????

    Argentina:

Michael Yurasowski: played some games for Boca when the regular DL went to copa america last season. Don't know how he's doing now.

In a later stage I'll deal with Turkey, Austria, Holland, Germany and England.

    Holland:

Bart Goor: crucial for Feyenoord this season, a real leader.
Thomas Buffel: benched a lot, often gets playing time at the end of the game, he might go to Scotland.

Gil Swerts: His team ADO is fighting against relegation. I don't know how he's doing.

Jan Wuytens: second team of PSV

Wesley Sonck: can forget about a career at Ajax
Tom Soetaers: can and will be transferred during winterbreak.
Stanley Aborah: already got some chances although he only recently became 17. Also played in the match against Macabi Haifa.
Tom De Mul: Got some chances in the beginning of the season and scored a brilliant goal. After the signing of Rosales I didn't hear anything about him anymore.
Thomas Vermaelen: Young defender playing for the second team. Considering a loan option.
Rachid Tiberkanine: Young winger who didn't get a chance yet.

Brian Vandenbussche: was crucial for Heerenveen in the UEfa matches, especially against Stuttgart, this despite his age. In the competition he is also good.

Stijn Vreven and Tim Aelbrecht: haven't heard much about how these guys are doing at Vitesse. Anyone?

Hans Somers: Good worker for FC Utrecht. Foeke Booij likes him.
Stefaan Tanghe: according to the coach the key player for FC Utrecht. Has a good season.

Stein Huysegems: Played good games for AZ. More info?

Davy Schollen: good goalie for Nac Breda
Bart Van den Eede: supersub for NAC, especially in difficult games

Chris de Witte: anyone knows how he's doing at FC Groningen?

    Sven Vandenbroek: can leave Roda
Kevin Van Dessel: I believe he was injured
Jerome Colinet: Don't believe he played much for Roda yet. Or is he on loan?

Tom Caluwé: how is this guy doing at Willem II?

Maarten Martens and Jochen Janssen: playing for RKC but I don't know how they are doing.

Tim Smolders: at RBC, haven't heard anything about him.

Kris Mampaey: at FC Den Bosch, solid goalie.

Sam ysebaert: at MVV, don't know this guy.

Also a young Belgian goalie at Sparta, but I don't know his name. I think there are more Belgian players at Roda JC.

He has been given a free transfer per january 1 2005......
He hardly got any playing time this season so far. He's very prone to injury, and his work ethic leaves a lot to be desired. The board already decided not to renew his contract at the end of the season, but now they've said it's in both the club and player's best interest if he finds another club in the transfer window...

I heard somewhere in november that he had adopted a new way of running, because he was always putting too much pressure on his lower back. This was the reason he was always injured but he said this problem was solved now. Seems the new running method hasn't been fruitful after all. I remember him being a young player at Anderlecht; he had quite some talent but not the patience to wait for a chance. Hope he will find a good team.

    Turkey

Filip Daems: still at Genclerbigi. Anyone has some info?

    Karel d'Haene: ?

    Germany

Daniel Van Buyten: first season at Hamburg and already made captain. Last thing I heard was that he's doing great.
Emile Mpenza: also at Hamburg, difficult start but I believe he's doing better now.

Peter Van houdt: used to play for M'Gladbach, don't know where he is now.

    Bernd Thijs: new at M'Gladbach
Joris Van Hout: not a regular starter
    Nico Van Kerkhoven: euhm?????

    Sven Vermant: starter for Schalke04

    England

Geert De Vlieger: still injured at Manchester City

Yves Makabu-Ma Kalamby: 3th or 4th keeper at Chelsea. Huge talent.

Floribert Ngalula Mbuyi: Ferguson wanted to give him some playing time for the cup against Crewe but he became injured.

    Nico Vaesen: where's this guy?

Bob Peeters: still at Millwall I presume.

    Austria

Didier Dheedene and Axel Lawaree: still at Austria Wien?

Gunther Schepens and Dennis Dasoul: still at Casino Bregenz?

I must have forgotten some players, so if you can find them....

Nico Vaesen: Plays for Birmingham City, but he is at the bench. Maik Taylor is the first choice goalie.

Yves Makabu-Ma Kalamby: is the fourth goalie at Chelsea. He plays for the youth team. When Carlo Cudicini was injured, Lenny Pidgeley was picked for the first team, so Yves played a couple of games in the reserve team.

And I think you forgot Jelle Van Damme at Southampton, tomo. Is he still injured?

I just noticed the fourth goalie of Barcelona is a Spanish-Belgian. Urko Rafael Pardo Goas is his name. He started his career at Anderlecht academy and went to Barcelona in 1999. He was born in Brussels.
