Hazard is a menace. You can just sense it whenever he gets the ball in the opponent's half. We did really well getting him. He's going to give us a lot of joy this year.

Put Marcelo on midfield, Mendy behind him, Marcelo already doesnt defend for shit and his passing and movement is insane. Mendy played real fast paced aswell tonight, link these guys up with Hazard. It cant get worse then this.

 

Yet Ronaldo kept being the one blamed, still remember the comments of how we'd be way better and more balanced without him point being, when you're the star player in Real Madrid you can expect being criticized when you dont play well in big matches. Still believe he'll be huge for us tho

Today aside though I ran into this quote from Peter Crouch and while its early days still for Hazard it holds true.

“Hazard at Chelsea was one of the top five players in the world but watching him tonight he didn't look it," Crouch said.

"At Chelsea he was the main man and everyone was giving him the ball from everywhere. He won't get that at Madrid until he earns it.”

Zidane has to also make sure this happens, every team has a player whose feet most plays go through, Zidane has to make sure players are looking for Eden when we’re on the ball, he is our best player with the ball at his feet and can make things happen out of nowhere but he won’t be doing that if he isn’t on the ball.
