Fully aware that the talk is not going to go into full overdrive before November, by which time we'll be gearing up for the January transfer window. And there may be some down/slower time in this thread until then, but the rumor mill keeps on spinning nonetheless. So with that said...

If City haven't got this all wrapped up, he's clearly the Arsenal player we need to be pursuing. Talk is that he requires a £25mil signing bonus: given the fact that he'd be free, it's a lot of money, but why not?

Wonder if we will move in Jan to have a real go at the league.

Unless he proves to be a drag on the team and can not perform at an acceptable level, it's hard to see Arsene selling. He turned down a pretty big sum of money in the summer, so that appears to be an indication they are be ready and willing to let him go for nothing at the end of the year.

Not necessarily Sanchez, Griezzmann ? They added Costa I think for Jan.

If everything goes well for us, by then it won't be Dino's decision.

Costa to Atleti in Jan is reported to be close to being done (having his medical today allegedly). But if anything, I think this would be a real incentive for Atleti to really give La Liga and possibly Europe a real go this season.
In my opinion, if Griezmann leaves, it will not be before the end of the year.

We should bid for Sanchez just to increase the price city would have to pay.

SportBild are not reliable at all so I'm not buying those Özil rumors

As far as Ozil is concerned, we'll have to see how our current 10s perform. It's really that simple IMO: if Mata and especially Miki do not play at a level that is expected of him by the end of the season, I can see Jose possibly making a move for Ozil. He'll be free, so he will not cut in the transfer budget. And Jose will get another top quality player at an important position.
    He's TBD at this point...

As far as Sanchez is concerned, the only point to bid for him is if Arsenal want to sell in January. After that, it will be completely down to Sanchez to make a decision as to where he wants to go in the summer.

For 55M Pounds. So, you still think they should have released him? You'd be great in upper management...

My opinion was based on the information I had at the time. Obviously, it proved incorrect and Chelsea (once again) managed to make another great deal. A salut', good for them...

If we put the free transfer speculation (Gotetzka, Lima, raping Arsenal, etc.) and Griezmann to the side...

The only links I have seen recently have been for right-sided attacking players and central midfield players other than Pellegri being briefly mentioned as the English rags flavour of the day.

    Goretzka will go to Bayern.

Correct but it won't stop the constant links with anyone coming to the end of their contract.

Will be interesting to see where Goretzka land in the Bayern midfield pecking order. Vidal (even if he stays) is not that young himself, but there's still Thiago, Tolisso and even Rudy to contend with.

oezil would be a backup option to me if we can't get griezmann. our team is very close to being balanced, we need a 10 and better full backs. i would swing for the fences and see if, say, alaba is looking for a new challenge.

I would think that a right sided forward option would be close to a priority as well, over a 10. If we have to go another season with a combo of Miki (on current form), Mata and Lingard on the right, I may just go postal tbh.

I have concerns about Ozil's mentality anyway.

In this market 100m euros for Griezmann is a steal. I can't see how we wouldn't be in for him again.

I get it that Ozil and Sanchez are established players. But they are 28 now. Shouldn't we go for younger guys who are int he age group of Martial Rashford or lukaku when we are looking for our RW or next 10? Just a thought.
