sorry to drag this up from a closed thread, and all, but i've just seen it, and the point must be made: LTFC is wonderful. and kenilworth road is beyond brilliant. that is all.
I wouldn't have mentioned them, had I not had a little first hand knowledge of said team Pook. As for what what first hand knowledge, and a girl from Oak Road.. .....well....... that's a very long story mate. All I will say, is that I was glad to be living in Hertfordshire, when I worked in Luton.
That's some cryptic shit right there. I have no idea what any of it means, really, but whatever story there is to be told, should be told. Spill the beans, we've a long wait until our next match and I need to be entertained!
what it means, i suspect, is merely that luton is an utter shithole, and that if one must spend eight, or so, hours a day working there, he'll be pleased to spend the other 16 elsewhere. and verily, sayeth i, luton is, beyond doubt, a shithole ... one which i would gladly never enter again, were it not for the little oasis of brilliance off kenilworth road. seriously, i know a bunch of you lot go over for AFC games, and if so, i would strongly encourage you to check the conference fixtures, find a luton town match, ingratiate yourself to some of the away support, and take in a match from the oak road stand. none of that poncey premier league carnival ... this is english football as it should be! ... of course, if it's a night game, you'll want to negotiate your way back to the train station with care ... preferably in a group of three or more. it is luton.
Yep, that's pretty much it in a nutshell. Well....except the girl from Oak Road. And it would behoove me, not to share that story.
Barcas now up 6-nil on Leverkusen. I knew Leverkusen wasn't the best, but geeze, its turned into a joke.
Barcelona are going to win it again -_- Stupid Ac Milan we were suppose to knock them out...now nobody can defeat Barca.
oi! if you wanna have a go at N17, fair enough ... but the lane? a shitty old stadium? **wags finger** the lane is phookin' brill.
