240x10 is what we have available for the bridge
    36x30 is a single section - there are 6
240x30 is covering all the seats along the endline.
240x45 covers bridge to front row
36x6 is the two walls behind the sideline seats.

This may have been covered but are we doing a banner with all Supporter groups on it or individual?

This is one of those times where I hate being so far away from KC... I have a banner idea if anyone wants to run with it:

Picture: Big pair of soccer cleets with the heels touching eachother.
Verbage underneath: There's no place like home!

Would be good for the home opener IMO. Yeah, playing on the wizard of oz thing pisses some of you off I know, but self depricating humor is the best way to deal with the rest of the league giving us shit about it. Anyhow, anyone that has the time/effort to do it feel free to use the idea!

I've had an idea for a few weeks and saw that Columbus has them as well, a Dalek banner. Just a little two pole one that has a Sporting Blue Dalek against a indigo background with the words "YOU WILL OBEY (SPORTING or THE WIZARDS) OR YOU WILL BE EXTERMINATED".

I would love to hold that at games, seeing as I'm a big nerd and all, just have no real design skill in my bones.

Trust me you don't need a ton of design skill, I have next to none and I've created quite a few two pole banners and I have next to no design skill. All it really takes is an image on an overhead projector paper, an overhead, a cloth to draw it on, and some fabric (JoAnn's always has some).

Oh and then some PVC and a little sewing.

I must say your 'Be Champions' banner looked really well done. I never thought about using a projector before, but then I really only ever had one banner idea. If I go with it I'll just have it printed :D

How much do you think it would be for all the material and everything?

You can probably do a banner for $20-$25 but it's been a little while since I've done one...

Get a flat twin sheet from Wal-Mart in light blue or white for about $3.00

The heat-set paint that I use for all my banners is around $6 per bottle from JoAnn's fabric store

1" pvc pipe is about $1.50 per

I like that. Have you had it made yet?

Let's hope that thought rings true and LiSP is a fortress.

A friend pointed out this display in Dicks Sporting Goods. I swear I don't remember making a Sporting KC banner....but there it is in photographic print:

Lot of fun today helping paint some banners. They are very cool. Some people took pictures, so hopefully there will be some posted.

I was told yesterday at painting not to post any photos until after opening day - to try to keep some surprise alive.

We have been painting every day since Thursday. We are working at the Kansas City Repertory Theatre's Paint facility in Downtown Underground. We are happy to have all the help we can get. I will post times for every day this week tomorrow after we have a better idea.

To everyone that has been helping. Thank You. Its going to be incredible when its unveiled. I appreciate everyone keeping their pictures to themselves, It will be a nice surprise on ESPN. Or from the Space Station.

What time tomorrow, gotta go down there to get my scarf and, hopefully, my parking pass for the opener, and figured that I should get my painting in finally while I have a car.
