The Spanish league is still one where an Asian player has not succeeded, right?

EPL - Park Ji Sung, Lee Chung Yong
    Serie A - Hidetoshi Nakata
Bundesliga - Cha Bum Kun, Shinji Kagawa
    La Liga - ???

Hopefully, it will change in the next decade. And we'll add way more names to the ones already on the list up there (Ki Sung Yong, Keisuke Honda, Ryo Miyachi, Son Heung Min, Koo Ja Cheol, Ji Dong Won, Park Chu Young, Nam Tae Hee...)

I'd say PCY has done well enough to move up there to include L1 (certainly as much if not more than LCY).

La Liga is where asian's have gone to fail like Lee Chun Soo and Nakamura. I blame them eating rice... but not sticky rice :)

Ligue 1 is second-tier though, right? That's why I didn't include it among the Big 4.

To be fair, Nakamura was pretty old when he went to La Liga. I don't think anybody expected him to be the star he was in Celtic.

Ligue 1 has as many CL spots as BL. But its been pretty poor as they don't seem to have the money of Spain or the young development programs of Germany. But anyways, completely besides the point.

And I was being semi-facetious about LCS and Nakamura. Though I think nakamura (and know LCS) did even less than they had anticipated.

"LOS JUGADORES MÁS DESTACADOS DE 'LA MASIA'

Por último, se apuntan a diversos jugadores de la cantera barcelonista que ya comienzan a brillar con luz propia y que no han pasado desapercibidos en la visita de los periodistas italianos al santuario de los jóvenes del Barça.

Los cameruneses Jean Marie Dongou y Lionel Enguene, el coreano Park Sheng Ho o el portero Pol Ballester son algunos de los nombres que apuntan en la agenda."

Yayy he's apparently a La Masia standout XD

    That's good to hear.

La Masia is pretty much unaffected by Pep Guardiola's leave, right?

Oh. Don't think that should be a problem
It's been about 2/3 a year since he's been with Barca, and he's considered a La Masia standout and he's still touted as a possible messi along with those other guys (that's what the article was about).
    Can't wait.
