Well at least that was a friendly. Boy though if that happens to us tomorrow, I might get a heart attack. If we lose, we lose by 2 goals at the very max. Even that would be really too much. Hopefully we can get a draw at the VERY LEAST.
I'm hoping for a win. I don't wanna have to deal with a two-legged playoff in November for that WC spot lol

You know I wouldn't mind if we just promoted Di Biagio to be our new coach and use some of the players he used in the U21 Team last year. I saw so much hungriness in that team even against Spain. We could have beaten Spain U21 if Gagliardini didn't get sent off.
nice goal by Orsolini... this kid needs more playing time ASAP... i believe i read he has 78 minutes so far this year for Atalanta in Serie A.
Yeah I am well aware of that, but I think Di Biagio doesn't deserve that criticism. He did flop to the Czech Republic, but that was just one game. We were honestly on par with Spain until Gagliardini got sent off. If he was still on we would have had a good chance of winning the game. Bernardeschi even equalized after we were a man down which says something.
Di Biagio was terrible against Spain. Go back and read the last part of that thread. An inferior Germany beat them by giving their midfield no space. We did the opposite by starting the terrible Petagna instead of an extra midfielder. Di Biagio also screwed us in the 2015 Championship, where we were the best team, by screwing up the first game against Sweden.
Don't forget Berardi and Conti were suspended vs Spain, which is why Petagna started. I am not praising Di Biagio, but he does show heart and I think he values his job a lot. The team was really firing under him. In 2015 we were very unlucky honestly.
not the greatest result but considering Chiesa and Cutrone are up with the senior squad.. not the worst either.
just curious on how they weren't overly impressive... did you watch the game? i didnt watch..but all the match reports i've read have said that the Azzurrini dominated and missed a few sure goals and hit the bar a few times...and that the norway goal was a howler from Meret.
