Average salary for the Mexican League: any guesses? Top salary? What's the payroll for the top teams? and the bottom teams? and the teams in the middle? Thanks.
I haven't seen salary figures in a long time. Many many years ago, FMF tried to impose a salary cap on teams, along with caps on individual players. This also included a limit on the number of "star/elite" salaries a club could pay. The experiment didn't work out, as clubs would find ways around the restrictions by providing housing, cars, etc., or resorting to paying additional money under the table. To add additional wrinkles, salaries were usually described after taxes, and salaries did not include the common bonuses for wins/ties. Unfortunately, I neither remember when this happened nor what the figures were. Here's an article from 2004 with some individual salary numbers for some of the top players. http://www.terra.com/deportes/articulo/html/fox120234.htm Here is another one that briefly mentions the old salary cap, and also talks about rookies making about $300 a month. http://64.233.169.104/search?q=cach...no&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=13&gl=us&client=firefox-a

some players have gone to europe and made less money. its the best paying league in the americas. what the fuck are you talking about.
I remember hearing this on tv but dont trust me on it. The salary for mexican teams are probably in between 6 to 10 million dollars. To me that seems about right.
Thanks...6-10 mil USD for salary. Can someone back up this estimate? Does it seem right? What about the transfer fee budget?
This article appeared in yesterday's El Mercurio Newspaper (Chile). I could not believe that de la Torre would discuss player salaries, but some people like to brag so who knows. Grupo 6 de la Copa Libertadores: Everton, a luchar con Chivas El "Rebaño Sagrado" es una potencia, tanto, que el sueldo de su jugador top, Aaron Galindo, es superior a los emolumentos de toda la plantilla ruletera. R. Neira y E. Poblete Chivas de Guadalajara -flamante campeón de la Interliga 2009- invirtió cerca de US$ 2 millones para competir en el torneo Azteca y la Copa Libertadores. "Hay que ganar los dos campeonatos", apuntó su vicepresidente Néstor de la Torre. Dos veces estuvieron cerca de la gloria: en 2005 y 2006 el techo fueron las semifinales, pero Atlético Paranaense primero y Sao Paulo después abortaron la ilusión. "Este año sí que sí", agrega De La Torre y por eso se metieron la mano al bolsillo. El defensa Aaron Galindo fue adquirido en 1 millón 500 mil dólares al Eintracht Frankfurt. Su sueldo reventó el mercado: 150 mil dólares, mucho más que los $70 millones que cuesta, mensualmente, la plantilla ruletera. También llegaron Carlos Ochoa (US$ 300 mil abonó Chivas por su préstamo), Amaury Ponce (arribó desde Toluca a cambio del pase de Sergio Santana y, además, de unos cuantos dólares) y Francisco Mendoza (de la filial). Mes a mes, la dirigencia de Chivas paga casi US$ 1 millón en sueldos. No sólo Galindo gana bien: Ramón Morales (capitán) cobra US$ 80 mil, Alberto Medina US$ 65 mil, Luis Michel US$ 60 mil... Hay más: los jugadores recientemente promovidos desde las Fuerzas Básicas (Patricio Araujo y Xabier Báez) reciben US$ 15 mil. En Viña del Mar el tema está clarito. "Tienen un material económico muy distinto al nuestro, pero nadie nos quita la ilusión. Podemos quitar puntos allá y acá", cree Nelson Acosta, quien dirigiendo a Cobreloa sufrió el rigor de las Chivas. Por la Copa de 2005, perdió 3 a 1 en Calama y en Guadalajara. Colo Colo, un año después, vivió la misma experiencia: 1-3 en Chile y 3-5 en México. "Chivas llegará en plena competencia, en cambio nosotros recién salimos de la pretemporada", reflexiona Acosta. http://diario.elmercurio.com/2009/01/13/deportes/futbol/noticias/A06F8E0B-71D3-4C4C-99A7-BD00BDB685D2.htm?id={A06F8E0B-71D3-4C4C-99A7-BD00BDB685D2}
Those are some good wages the Guadalajara players make. Aarón Galindo at US$ 150,000 a month. no wonder he came back Mexico, I doubt he was making that kind of money at Eintracht Frankfurt. Also I read in some article that Gerardo Torrado is making US$ 1.5 million at Cruz Azul. Cruz Azul and Guadalajara are some of the best paying clubs in Mexico so my guess would be that the top individual salaries are probably around US$ 1.5 to 2 million.
What is the average payroll for FMF? Give the best guesstimate for the range for top payroll, mid payroll and bottom payroll. Thank you. Here's the 2009 J-league payroll (1) Urawa Reds - 1,250,000,000 Yen = $12.5 mil (2) Gamba Osaka - $10.5 mil (3) Kashima Antlers - $8.3 mil (4) Vissel Kobe - $7.3 mil (5) Kyoto Sanga FC - $7.0 mil (6) Oita Trinita - $6.5 mil (7) Jubilo Iwata - $6.4 mil (8) Kawasaki Frontale - $6.2 mil (9) Kashiwa Reysol - $6.1 mil (10) Shimizu S-Pulse - $5.9 mil (11) Nagoya Grampus - $5.8 mil (12) FC Tokyo - $5.6 mil (13) Yokohama F Marinos - $5.2 mil (14) Omiya Ardija (14)Sanfrecce Hiroshima - $5.1 mil (currently 6th in the table with 13 games played) (16) JEF Utd Chiba - $4.8 mil (17) Albirex Niigata - $3.6 mil ----(currently 3rd in the table) (18) Yamagata Montedio - 250,000,000 Yen = $2.5 mil (currently 12th in the table)
MLS pay more or equal to Mexico .. it would really hurt the mexican league, and Europe will have a run for its money. I am positive people would prefer to live in NY,Boston,or LA than in Madrid, Milan or Paris. Look all the SA players go to Mexico for money, who question that is lying to themselves. PEOPLE WANT TO LIVE IN THE US, give them more than 100,000 a year and you will have a decent league, as I doubt most players in SA make more than $50,000-150,000 a year.
I remember hearing during a game on tv that Kikin Fonseca from Tigres was the player with the most income in America the continent... (I would say excluding Beckham). I almost fell of my chair upon learning that... freaking bum.
Have you ever been to Paris, Madrid, or Milan? I have and the only city in the US I would take over them would be New York.
And if Mexico would pay more than the British Premier League and La Liga in Spain, Kaka and Ronaldo would be playing for Indios Cd Juarez... Cash is always king for everybody
agreed people think that Kaka would play for Madrid if a brazilian team paid him the same amount of money ? People dream about Man United, Real, and Chelsea as kids because they pay the most If America, Athletico Nacional, paid that much people would dream of them too
im guessing that the average salary in FMF is around 200-300k a year..since so many are getting 1 million a year..it averages out pretty high..MLS on the other hand id say averages 50-60,000 k..many players on chivas uSa get 20-50 K..very low..the MLS needs to step up
Rikin Fonseca ftl Maybe its better they don't release the salaries, they'd have alot more Romano style kidnappings. Mexico pays darned good, they pay the best in the Americas, it's just too bad that hasn't gotten them a libertadores trophy yet.
yes, by far they pay the best..reason why many south american's migrate to mexico..same reason why mexican's dont come to MLS..we dont pay much LOL
