saw a few times the TV showing brazilian fans in yellow BRAZILIAN jerseys, and the english commenter saying they were Australians...

but in the end, they showed an INTERNACIONAL supporter (with the red shirt of the club) sending kisses to the camera, and the english commenter said it was an australian fan saying goodbye to the tournament.

in all cases. some quite white brazilians were shown (the inter supporter was a freckled blond girl)...

gee, temperature of 14ºC in the afternoon in Porto Alegre and lots of brazilian blonde supporters... STOP THIS MADNESS, where is the brazilian steotype??? This is confusing the narrator from England!

Not going home just yet... They can still qualify however unlikely that may be.

No, a draw means Spain isn't out yet.

They would need not only for spain to win today, but they would also have to beat Spain by a considerable amount of goals. No way, bro.

Southern brazil is mostly European (Italian, German and Portuguese) so it shouldn't be surprising. But it seems like all of brazil matches so far the crowds seem really upper class, not that loud and overwhelmingly Europrean Brazilians in appearance.

correct, a draw would only serve to eliminate Australia for good

only read the first part of your post.
With a draw, Spain still lives but as how Australia is playing, I don`t think they can score more than 3 goals of GD, at them. And they would depend on Netherlands to beat Chile and not settle for a draw.

In any case, it is possible.

Aust gave that game away. Should have scored 4 goals. Conceded 3 soft ones.
Dutch were always going to be a bit flat after spain game so missed our opportunity. Disappointing not to at least draw.

Difference was dutch were more clinical with the chances they had. Well done to dutch, but your arrogance nearly come back to bite you.

P.S. Also well done for your first ever win against Aust. :)

If Spain draws then the following needs to happen for them to move on.

    If a draw
    Chile 1-1-0
    Spain 0-1-1

    Spain beats Aussie
    Chile loses to Dutch

Both tied at 1-1-1. It would come down to goal differential right?

If they both tie against each other, but Chile wins next week then it doesn't matter what Spain does.

Why? Spain has a terrible goal difference, so they will struggle either way. If Chile loses its next two games then they will also have a much worse GD than they have today. So Australia would likely need a 1-2 goal win. Chances anyway are purely mathematical - I would say some 5%.

So when you see a sandy yellow beach with blue sky in England, or a dark haired English girl with perfect teeth, that must confuse you as well

Can I ask, all Brasilian people, to get a grip....English people don't hate you, and we know you are the greatest country in the world. So just grow up and attain some balls!

why? because they'd have to equal chile's goal difference, not spain's.

That's two teams that are relieved to just beat Australia. Proud of our lads but if only we had better finishing. We created enough chances to win that game. We created more chances....... Well, we get to see how the next generation go against Spain without Timmeh.

Very reminiscent of a call in Italy-Chile during the WC 1998...

guess really we have to see how the Spain-Chile game goes before we see what Australia's fate is.

    Ditto.

Your belief that there will be no referee complaints when they are consistently making game changing errors is flawed. People are here to discuss the game. Decisions are part of it. If people want to further discuss the intricacies of the decision they will go to the referee forum. The majority will not. Your attempts to enforce separation of discussion is both shortsighted and doomed to failure.

eh? This was not an attack on english people pal. I commented on the NARRATOR, not on english people in general, and obviously I am commenting on english narrator because I saw an english language broadcast. I am sure the brazilian dark latino hot all over country stereotype is not something restricted to England.

ps: england is too cosmopolite and the whole world knows that.
