The first match is rarely exciting. Its going to be a hard fought game. As for Chile, there is still serious doubt as to whether Vidal will play or not, but most likely is that he wont.

Absolutely not. In the WC even the 32th best nation is a WC nation and should be respected. Imagine Spain with that mentality versus Switzerland in the last WC.

I was being a little bit cheeky with that first post.

We had a practice match against Croatia yesterday - We lost 1:0.
The period of time around the goal being scored was the most telling - At the start of the second half Croatia "turned it on" for a period, with sharper passing and faster movement, which resulted in that goal.

We didn't look close, and didn't really create anything in front of goal ourselves for the 90 minutes.

Fortunately we don't need Vidal the get 3 points in the 1rst match:) (but I think Vidal will play AT LEAST during the 2nd half).:)

You know you're screwed when the local bookies are offering to refund any bets made AUS vs CHI if AUS score a goal ;-)

Chile won't take this match lightly; it's the best and easiest 3 points that they can get out of this group of death, and it would help them in the long run after Spain and the Netherlands play.

    Is Vidal playing or not?
If hes not 100 % I would not put him on, so simple.
    Too much risk.

Because Chile HAS to win this game if they want any chance to progress, so they will take the risk to play their best player.

I dont think he will play, but simply because I think he is 80-90 %. If he was 100% hed be a starter along with the best we got.

At current times our best player is not Vidal, but Alexis Sanchez, whom is actually playing at over a 110%, and he is playing tomorrow.;)

Chile should win but I want to see a open attacking style, for Australia I just don't want to see another opening game embarrassment.

Its going to be a hard game. My prediction, first goal will be ugly, rebound or something, then it will get pretty.
