Welcome to MLS Austin Texas. We will show up in your town and take it over! And that chant sheet your capos created makes your supporters look like a pack of crayon eaters.
Leave it to the Canadian guy to be all diplomatic and polite. This ain't Tim Horton's yanow, where every other word from people's mouths is "soar-ee." You remind me of the king in Monty Python and the Holy Grail, when the knights ransack the castle, killing several wedding guests in the process, and he says "Let's not argue and bicker over who killed who, this is a happy occasion..." There used to be a guy on the Revs boards who hated, absolutely hated Ante Razov. At the mere mention of his name, he'd go off on a tirade of wishing all sorts or harm, like being gang-banged by rabid goats with syphilis, and that sort of thing. It was pretty funny to see the new and original ways he could think of... I bet that's the sort of fate many Crew fans would want for Precourt.
Given this take, how can you expect anyone to believe anything you say about Jack Warner, etc., in your blog? Skip Bayless is like, dude, c'mon, don't be silly.
If you think I give a shit whether anyone believes me or not with regard to a disgraced fugitive from justice who is under federal indictment, well freind, youre mistaken. If someone wants to think hes a splendid chap, good for them. This is a bit like asking how I can criticize Hitler since I made jokes aboyt Jimmy Carter. The disconnect is astonishing, even from you
Listing both San Jose and Houston as expansion clubs. Lovely revisionist history from the gang that cannot keep their story straight. First ever MLS match was played in San Jose.
Houston has always been referred to as an expansion team by MLS. Right or wrong, they have been consistent on that. I can't comment on the MLS story on San Jose.
Once all 27 of these MLS teams are up and running that will mean that the league has teams in 22 of the 40 biggest U.S. TV markets. Those 22 markets are currently 42.5% of the households in the U.S. As long as #28 is a new market and in the top 40 that percentage will go over 43%. IF the league goes to 32 team and adds four more big U.S. markets that percentage could go up to right about 50%.
Just a reminder that this is the N&A forum, so we do need to avoid the various "rivalry" names for teams and their owners. We were a little lenient with regards to Precourt while he was the owner of the Crew because the Crew fans shared the sentiment. However, now that the Crew have new owners and Precourt has moved on to a new fanbase, the "no rivalry names" rule is back in full effect.
Man, I hope @Sport Billy doesn't start moderating this forum. it will become as desolate as the Austin forums.
your arrogance and ignorance comes before you-- but i dont think all americans are like you-- and thank God for that- try a visit to the north and get out of your isolated, myopic view of the world beyond the border of your narrow mind
Wow. Snipping about 1/3 of a sentence, as you did, is, like, the very definition of taking something out if context. Its cheap, its dishonest and its lying. Pretty low even for you. When did you abandon even the pretext if honesty? Sad.
I watched s little of yesterday’s event. The thing that stayed with me was garber saying something like “come on you guys...last two expansion teams in Atlanta and LA have been bananas. You have a lot of work to do. Buy tickets! Please...” Just seemed less then confident.
