Just a heads up to everyone who has been living under a rock over the last few months... This Saturday night, May 19th, the Austin Aztex will return to Austin for their first home match of the 2012 PDL season. The team has played their first 3 matches of the season on the road, and collected 6 our of 9 possible points. They sit on top of the Mid South Division, and are looking to gain some revenge for the lost 3 points from this past Saturday in El Paso, as they play the El Paso Patriots. Eberly's Army will be hosting a pre-match gathering at The Lion & Rose pub (Hwy 360 & Bee Caves) starting at 4:00 p.m. We will then take the L&R London style double decker bus to the stadium for the match, and return on the bus after the game to continue the celebration. We will be joined by other fans and the teams at the pub, so you'll have time to hobnob with the front office and players. Tickets are available online at the Austin Aztex website. Tickets are $10/seat, with kids 10 & under getting in for free. The best value is the season ticket package for $50, which gets you 8 flex tickets. We will also have a Champions League Final Watch Event at the same pub beginning at 1:30 p.m., so if you are looking for a full day of football, we are your one stop shop!!!
Just wanted to say congratulations to the fans in Austin on the upcoming return of soccer. What kind of a crowd is the team expecting for the opener? Good luck, build it strong and fast, and hopefully you'll be back up in the pro ranks in no time at all. Would love to see that!
