    And, as evidenced by the track record at Bradenton, it's a bit of a crapshoot anyway.

    Fixed the Davies point. I had ranked Findley higher because of his ability to play MF, but I agree that he should be higher than Barrett.

    These are all things I knew, but never considered all together like this. Quite the fast track from relative nowhere. Impressive.

    For better or worse, college in the US still helps fills the void that is occupied by true club systems in more mature footballing countries.

    Yes and it's not like it can't happen. It's just that it's harder to predict and arrange by a list.

    I mean, a club like Ajax can pick up Marcus Tracy over the winter and spend the next 18 months polishing his skills to the point where he may become a viable candidate for the 2010 roster.

    After all, it took Charlie Davies about the same time with Hammarby to really get going in the Swedish league.
