corner was nowhere near Gooch. He's gotta be the #1 target there, bad corner taken.

    Too bad.

Nice to see Gooch playing a bit of center forward there at the end.

Barely. Credit where credit's due. That was a great effort. The back probably should've made contact with the ball, but I'm guessing he was, as you said, tired, and he also was worried about an own goal. Oh well...

I told you. Standard play him as a striker down late in a big game.

All over, fair play to Standard, they've got a good team there.

ESPN'S Bill Simmons would call this a "Stomach-Punch game", no? :(

    Liverpool can be proud

Linesman was unkind to the underdog as always...

Standard will now sell after this lost. Heartbreaker but Gooch's value just went up!

Good performance for Gooch from what I'm reading. It is a pity that Standard Liege lost, however, the good news is that maybe Gooch will finally make the move to a bigger/better team.

Liverpool have now been crap in four out of four matches and managed a result in each of them. Might just be their year.

I guess you missed the penalty shout, bellend.

Lots of credit to Standard Liege. Was nervous beforehand and we're lucky beyond belief to be advancing judging on both teams' performances.

Wouldn't have posted if U guys had lost...but seeing as the ball bounced your way at the end I said Y not.:)

Had you guys crapping bricks until a few minutes ago eh?;)

Told you it wouldn't be easy.

Standaard get a TON of respect in my book as they could have easy won and it wouldn't have been a mistake.

Enjoy it and see U later.
