Hertha II coach and ex pro Andreas Neuendorf seems to really praise Netz (sounds like Netz scored 3 goals and 1 assist in the double England U17 games.) and Samardzic (2 goals and 1 assist in 2 games). Although he does say that he likely will forget to name 2-3 players on top of these 2.

he said thing like at Hertha they always encouraged individuality so dfb trying to change things doesn't really affect them as much.

talked about how players like 99-Dardai, Kiprit, Ngankam, Pronichev, Baak etc are dev well and how numerous scouts check out their games and that their purpose is to dev players as many as possible for 1BL-2BL. Also that they aren't thinking now about any 3rd Liga promotion (let's be honest any 3rd Liga promotion would be a huge boost).

    Unbehaun comeback.

For three weeks he is back on the training ground. "Finally," as he says. He was out of action for almost six months, had to complete his rehabilitation program and bring a lot of patience. Shortly before the final round of the U19, at the end of the title was Luca Unbehaun operated on the knee. Instead of deferring the necessary surgery on the cartilage in order to be in the final, Unbehaun preferred to put himself under the knife. Goal: to get back to full health quickly.

"Now I'm fit and I love to play football", says Unbehaun. He still needs patience. But soon the coaches should be spoiled for choice: Unbehaun is still a U19 player, so could run up both in the A-youth and make his first steps in the U23. For the Youth League of the U19 he is scheduled, but whether it works on 23 October in Milan with an insert depends on further steps and the plans of the coach.

Open, inquisitive, ready to learn - and always at full throttle
Coaching is definitely with the Bundesliga team under goalkeeping coach Matthias Kleinsteiber. "Luca is a very open type, extremely inquisitive and eager to learn," says Kleinsteiber of the 18-year-old talent. "He's always on the gas, so he got back into training and on the right track."

In the beginning, Luca admits, it was a bit strange and unreal to train with the pros: "I was injured for a long time and just did not feel like I belonged, but the boys took me in well, and now it's just one awesome feeling! "

As our conversation draws to an end, Unbehaun has another wish: "I would like to thank Sebastian Märker, Heiko Bias and all the others for the rehab during the summer break, they have brought me a long way forward," he says. The therapists of the youth development center had shifted their vacation especially for Luca Unbehaun.

looks like Walter was satisfied for 00-Kleinhansl ,00-Batzner, 02-Meyer and 99-Kobel who played vs Swiss 3rd place St Gallen as having done well.

issue with Stuttgart, they got a squad of 29 players which includes Massimo, Awoudja, Mack (currently injured although has a 2022 contract and Walter likes him), and Grozinger. Matchday squads are 20 players, one can see the issue doesn't help that the club has 4 players signed on loan from other clubs, 2 from 1BL and 2 from outside Germany. Also doesn't help that majority of the squad have 2022-onwards contract. So essentially there isn't any space for players. Even the 4 considered 1st teamers have barely played this season. That is what happens when a club loans in players, signs in players who are essentially 2BLers and covets the players of other clubs. And it's an issue with tons of 1BL clubs and even 2BL, squads are too big, it's one reason I don't buy the excuses that coaches make about younger players. These days it feels more like injuries is what gives chances and that's it. Some coaches even imply that there could be space for a player in a year or 2 min, basically as the contracts of some players run out they could take their places.

WÜCK: "VERY SATISFIED WITH BOTH ORDERS"
With a draw (3: 3) and a victory (2: 1) against England, the U 17 national team returned on Sunday from Spain. U 17 national coach Christian Wück talks in the DFB.de interview with editor Peter Scheffler about the respectful success, the November qualifying round and the development of his team.

DFB.de: Congratulations to the win against England, Mr. Wück. A victory against England gives confidence, right?

Christian Wück: Yes, we are very satisfied with the two performances. We have done well in both games and gained a lot of new insights. It has been seen that we can not only compete against a top nation, but are also able to win. Actually, we would have even had to return with two victories.

DFB.de: What were the main reasons for the strong performances?

Wück: For the first time, the best squad was available to us except one player (Dennis Lütke-Frie). That was of course outstanding for us. So we could also try out some procedures for the upcoming qualifying round in November. Now we are relatively clear on how the squad should look like, as we have barely changed the core in both games so the team can get in and know the burden of playing two games in three days. They have to do that in November as well.

DFB.de: They have conceded again late goals in both games. Is this worrying you?

Wück: Yes, yes. There are 40 minutes played twice in the B-Bundesliga, but twice in other international leagues and in international matches 45. We have to pay this difference with conceding goals. We also notice a difference to the players who regularly have in the A-junior Bundesliga inserts, where also 90 minutes is played.

DFB.de: How are the concrete preparations for the first European Championship qualification round going?

Wück: Over the next few weeks, I will be making the preliminary trip to Greece with our team manager to know the places, stadiums, hotels and local conditions. Then we will call again a perspective cadre to complete a course. On the 10th of November we meet and fly to Greece a day later.

DFB.de: A victory against France in the student's country game, a draw against Italy in September, now a victory against England. The 2003 vintage makes you want more ...

Wück: Yes, that's right. With specific goals or forecasts, I hold back, but I see a very interesting vintage, which has a lot of potential and is on the right track. If things continue this way, we are spared injury and cooperation with the clubs continues to be so good, we can certainly do something together.

lol cooperation with the clubs. I still want to see Matanovic get a chance when he's fit as everytime he's called up he's unfit and misses out and Gencoglu is just getting his form back in last 10 days. Wouldn't call it the best squad some other players with good prospects were left out for whatever reason. Well you can't call up everyone and some will very likely won't get called back barring injuries until U18-onwards likely. In the end there are way too many interesting 03 prospects. And it does seem like Germany should have beaten England in Game 1.

good point about the U17 league=80 min while U19=90 min, so far
Rhein, Gunther, Mbi, Herold, Suver, Netz play in U19.

Two- or three-track 3rd league? Bierhoff's mind game
    https://www.kicker.de/760184/artikel/zwei_oder_dreigleisige_3_liga_bierhoffs_gedankenspiele

looks like Bierhoff is looking to update 3rd Liga as a way to focus more on young German players and according to him by 2030 rely less and less on foreign players.

In the evaluation criteria of the junior players should not be more selection, but versatile development in the foreground. "That we manage to develop a winning mentality, without ever looking at results from an early age." German football had taken incredibly important measures in 2000 with the establishment of the performance centers and the talent development program, but the mistake was that we did not adjust after that, and we need to check at shorter intervals whether what we are doing makes sense If we succeed, our clubs will not have to go overseas in 2030. Then the pool of talent will be big enough and we will be back on the top of the world. "

seriously shows how much dfb was sitting on their laurels and doing much if he admits that we made mistakes and not adjust and need to check shorter intervals. Seems obvious that the RL isn't really dev at all for players just match practice vs adults. I mean if you look at smaller leagues and even France, they use their lower levels much much better than Germany to dev young players.

    Kuntz
Felix Agu, Orestis Kiomourtzoglou & Mats Köhlert will not travel to Bosnia-Herzegovina. We can only write 21 guys on the scoresheet so the three will return to their clubs on Monday morning. "

"Instead of Felix Agu, we chose Josha Vagnoman, as he can be used on both full-back positions. In addition, Ridle Baku is fit again, who can also play right back. "

"Robin Hack is now fully operational again, which is why Mats Köhlert would have had little chance of using."

"We are completely satisfied with the first impressions of Orestis Kiomourtzoglou. He took his chance here and presented himself great. There are players in his position who have more experience. "

not surprising that was always the huge draw of Vagnoman he's flexible while Agu is more tied to one position. Same for R.Baku (CM/RB). Kohlert if Nmecha didn't show up he could have gotten a chance. And Kiomourtzoglou, I mean we already have like 7 DM/CMs in the squad, lol.

reality is clubs don't really care much about RL, it's more to gain match practice and it's still 4th division. It tells you all you need to know that when Frankfurt loans out some youngster at some random RL club, they don't say it's to gain experience but it's to get match practice aka if he stays at Frankfurt he'll do nothing but train all year if he goes to RL he'll play some matches and basically won't become rusty.....that's it. Shows that these clubs don't even rate the level, it's why some players doesn't matter what they do there, 1st team chances is usually about who the club rates, aside from mass injuries.

meanwhile Barkok seems closer and closer!

    a Mainz update on 98-R.Baku and 99-J.Meier.

Different solutions in the external defense
Mainz: What Baku Meier has in advance

Jonathan Meier is the only summer newcomer of 1. FSV Mainz 05, who is fit for action but still without Bundesliga minutes. On the left, coach Sandro Schwarz trusts in another solution. But Ridle Baku on the right side is doing well

"We must not forget that it is a young player who comes from the regional team of the FC Bayern. He needs development time," says Schwarz describes the start of the 19-year left-back at new place of action. Because of the perspective, the Mainz had the obligation of Munich-trained Meier cost at least 1.2 million euros transfer fee. However, his start at the FSV was hampered by an injury during the preparation. In the second team, he made his third game last weekend only.

Instead of Meier for Aaron, who was suffering from a hamstring injury, in the Bundesliga, Schwarz decided for right-back Daniel Brosinski, who had already held the position on the opposite side and his time against Wolfsburg and Paderborn made good again. After Aaron has recovered, this Saturday at Fortuna Dusseldorf (3.30pm, LIVE! At kicker.de) a return to the original line-up seems possible.

Unless, of course, Schwarz is holding fast to the success of Paderborn, which included Ridle Baku. The reigning midfielder did his thing right in the back "as well", Schwarz praised the 21-year-old.
    https://www.kicker.de/760213/artikel/mainz_was_baku_meier_voraus_hat#twfeed

another strike against RL players with Meier. I mean lol, how do you get dev time going from Bayern II playing RL Bayern last season vs Mainz II playing RL Sudwest this season. Now with Aaron fit again he's back to backup role. J.Meier actually looked better in preseason than Aaron did. Although not long after got injured. I hope both J.Meier and GL-Itter (already has 7 1BL games for experience and Freiburg invested good amount of money on him) breakthrough for real in 1BL at LB which could make them jump to U21 NT as well. Both returned to fitness in Sept and getting match practice in II.

Reus says that he wasn't one the best player in his age group when he was young and that he dev a bit later than that. Also that he was never even relevant in the youth NT picture and by the time he got some involvement there it was already the end of his youth NT career.

I mean if you look him up he has 2 U21 games in 2009 same year as the 2009 U21 Euro which Germany won but wasn't part of the squad.

and then his breakthrough pro season was in 2009-2010 season, the following season. Just an example how how dev is a long process and kid who might not be as relevant when younger doesn't mean squat.

    96-COMEBACK AGAINST OSNABRÜCK?
    Slomka hopes for Maina
Why Slomka now so hopes for Linton's comeback shows this: In the first four second division games with Maina, the Reds always scored a goal. In the past five without him, they remain three times without a goal, thereby in both home games against Bielefeld (0: 2) and Nuremberg (0: 4).

The boy can create surprising and dangerous situations with his speed and his dribbling strength especially against low standing opponents. Linton is one of the few 96 professionals who can play an opponent in "1 against 1". That makes him so valuable - and is reflected in its market value. The stands at 7 million, fourth highest value of the whole league.

just realized that German Legend and 90 WC winner Pierre Littbarski's son plays for Wolfsburg U17.
03-Lucien Littbarski, he's a starter for the team in midfield.

his current wife is Japanese and since he was coaching in Japan in 2003, Lucien is likely born in Japan.

-U17 League (1 catch up game)
X4: Hadziavdic (04, already at 6 goals and 3 assists in 9 games)
X1: Kade (04, 4th and who knows how many assists today), Yildirim (04, RB already at 4), Dibowski

 at all the Hertha U17 04, scoring. Looks like Rolke is fit again while Wollschlager was with Germany this weekend so didn't play. Hadziavdic looks like yet another 04 CF option, at this point we seem close to like 10 options from 04/

-Germany U19 perspective team drew game 4, 1-1, once again Hollerbach scored.

looks like Worns has 50 players on the list from this mini-tourney.
WÖRNS: "HAVE 50 PLAYERS ON THE LIST"
After 44 games, the U 18 sighting tournament in the sports school Wedau in Duisburg has come to an end. The sighting team around the responsible DFB coach Christian Wörns has made an intense impression of the most promising talents of the 2002 vintage. On DFB.de Wörns pulls a tournament conclusion and speaks about the sighting and his first months in office.

DFB.de: How do you conclude after the tournament?

Christian Wörns: I can draw a very positive conclusion, because we have really seen many good games. But what is even more important to us is that we have seen a lot of good players. I can also say a number: we have 50 players on our list who performed really well.

    DFB.de: That sounds promising ...

Wörns: Definitely! But our problem is that we can not take 50 players to the next class.

DFB.de: How do you proceed now?

Wörns: At the end of October there will be a training course in Herzogenaurach, which serves as a kind of indulgence. There are the one or the other players that we have listed here. The top players travel with us in November to training camp in Spain and the tournament in Israel in December.

DFB.de: Were there any surprises in Duisburg?

Wörns: Yes, there were even many players. The 2002 vintage often does not play in the clubs, because he is the younger year and then rather backward stands. That's why the screening tournament is so important to us, because we focus on compressing the 350 best players from Germany.

DFB.de: What was your special focus in watching the players with your sighting team?

Wörns: On the one hand there is the gaming intelligence: The players have to be able to kick and understand the game. And in addition comes the athleticism and the mentality. The players really need to go all the way up.

DFB.de: What is your overall assessment of the situation in German junior football?

Wörns: We did not find ten players here, but 50, which were conspicuous. I think that's really a good rate that speaks for itself.

DFB.de: You have been in office since 1 July 2019. How is your interim conclusion at the time as a DFB-U coach?

Wörns: It's a very intense job. I'm not just here in Duisburg. My coaching team and I are also on the weekends a lot. And that means that we prepare and follow up the sightings. The work is great fun and I'm glad that you can see that we have good boys in the offspring in Germany.
    https://www.dfb.de/news/detail/woerns-haben-50-spieler-auf-der-liste-208930/

those 50 likely don't include 02 who are part of the core team of regular NT call ups.

Germany U21 lead Bosnia 1-0 HT.
Goal by Kilian a tap in after the Bosnian GK fumbled a Handwerker shot. Hack should have scored in 1st min, hitting the post and J.Eggestein last kick of the half should have scored as well but shot straight at the GK. Fein also had a great chance, could already have been 4-0. Let's hope we don't regret the misses.

so far Fein, Hack (doing defensive work too), Kilian, Schlotterbech look to be the better players. And Kilian seems the best German player in 1st half, made some crucial last min intervention from counters to stop players from getting 1v1 with Schubert.

lol at Schlotterbeck doing a Hummels with a forward surge where he dribbles and almost reached the Bosnian box.

Germany U21 wins 2-0 FT away from home vs Bosnia and with that we take the 3 pts and 6/6 pts start to the U21 cycle.
L.Nmecha scores Germany's 2nd (and his 2nd for Germany) diving header from a cross from Berisha.

Berisha played well, 2 header clearances in German box and than picked up an assist. 2nd half was not as good as the 1st half but very professionally done.

lol Germany U19 lost to Scotland 1-0, the whole qualifiers 3/3 games were in Scotland too. I don't like this playing 1 game vs each team for qualifiers. Scotland's goal seems to come from a free kick too, anything new, German defense conceding on FK and Corners.

01 kill me, it feels like the players just don't make a good team, but individually it's different same for the progress they make at club level.

from XI, I don't get why Kurt is ahead of Katterbach? Why we keep playing with 2 DMs in Krauss/Tauer and why Schade out of nowhere is 1st choice CF, sure he scored a hat trick vs Belarus but don't buy that he's the best option.

we still made the Elite Round but now we'll be in Pot B, lol expect at least 1 tough opponent. Wouldn't be surprised if they fail to qualify. 3 seasons in a row, same issues with U19, not so great lineups from coaches mixed in with conceding avoidable goals that kills us off. And another glaring issue is how we always get plenty of chances to score but unable to finish off chances. How do players who score tons for club fail so badly for Germany....

yes it's Lasse Gunther. I've seen him play for Germany and for Bayern here and there. A lot of people and fans seem to be comparing him to Bale or Robben. I prefer to avoid comparisons like that when a player is still very young and have a more wait and see approach. Let them dev and let's see where they are in 3-4 years from now. He's still has a lot of room to grow and still needs to work on improving some of his weaknesses.

getting more and more hype for scoring 4 goals in 3 games vs English team, scoring in every game. And he looks like he could have scored even more than that too.

We didn’t even have a full chance against Scotland

they were very packed at the back n didn’t give us any space, basically parked the bus

not the problem of the coaching, when u scored 9 goals with such lineup three days ago, u won’t change a lot today; if they changed a lot and lose, there will also be complains too

defending set-pieces is difficult in a short international break. Like Arsenal, took the Months (or years) even practicing day-in day-out

we lack a good striker yes, but even when we had Klose or Gomez , they averaged about 1 goals in 2 games, how many chances do they have in a game? Maybe 2-3?

Scoring is more like a duty for all players nowadays

    Tauer n Krauss are probably our best central midfielders, so it’s ok to start them;

Schade is also a very interesting talent who is said to remind people of Gnabry ..

I m just a bit disappointed at the development of OBM, and Jastremski should be used during half time than Gudra

we have problems dealing with physical defenders, especially when they played deep. And teams are doing that to us nowadays at all levels

    a bit like Spain

and with that International break is over. U19 ruining the mood.:p

one good reason why I'm glad that U19 is the last time 01 play any relevant games alone. U21 for them is 00-01 together, good that they'll be grouped with another age group. And U21 is after all the only relevant youth NT or should be. It's the one with pro player and closest to senior NT.

    Fein and School
"A good footballer does not need a high school diploma", with this accustomed statement Lukas Podolski caused quite a stir compared to Bild am Sonntag. In fact, there are good footballers with and without the university entrance qualification. Adrian Fein is undoubtedly a good kicker who does not have a high school diploma. But that does not have to be a permanent state.

"In school and when I was learning, unfortunately, I lacked the motivation," said the midfielder from Hamburger SV to HSVlive: "I totally regret that. At the end I even rattled through the Abitur and that still scratching me today. "The loan from FC Bayern has therefore already made inquiries about the 2nd Education. Maybe he wants to catch up the high school even during the active career. "If I had the chance again, I would do it all differently," Fein says at least. Of course it is not as if the lack of completion of his footballing career is a pity.

Bavaria roots "clear incentive" instead of "burden"

Fein is considered a highly talented midfielder, who has risen immediately at Hamburger SV to indispensable achievers. Even if he misses the Abitur, sees the U21 national player in his development as a junior player of Bayern a great advantage for the further career. "I do not see that as a burden, but as a clear incentive. From an unbelievable number of players it is the dream of someday to play for a top club like FC Bayern München. "Therefore, one's own roots are on the way to achieving ambitious goals, a good foundation. The 20-year-old Fein played since 2006 in the youth of the record champions. The Hamburger SV is already examining whether he can keep the native Munich in the longer term.

Interesting that Marco Rose likes 01 CB Gaal (0 DFB call ups).
In training Rose already integrated some youngsters, in test games he gave them the opportunity to show themselves, and in some cases they were even already in the professional squad. Four talents have played especially in his field of vision.

Kaan Kurt (17): At the beginning of the preparation, the full-back got the opportunity to show himself in the training camp on Tegernsee, which he succeeded. The Borussia talent plays mostly because of its playing ability even for the U23 instead of the U19.

Tom Gaal (18): In the pros, the 1.93m large German central defender was in the friendly against second division Wehen Wiesbaden present at the side of Tony Jantschke, was there clarified and could convince, above all, by his understanding of the game and his build-up.

"We did not allow much in the first round and that was thanks to Tom, who did a great job of right-back in central defense and showed his solid play," Rose said, impressed afterwards.

Conor Noß (18): In Istanbul against Basaksehir FK (1: 1) and against FC Augsburg (5: 1) was the dribbler already in the professional squad. Especially notable was the U19 international in the summer preparation in the friendly against Athletic Bilbao (0-2), when he created with courageous one-on-one actions for danger and prepared a goal, in which Alassane Plea offside was standing. "I like Connor, he's a good footballer. But he still has to grow physically, "says Rose

The offspring of the Borussia is well prepared overall, there are many other talents who can be trusted in the leap to the pros in the future. The U17 is fourth in the Bundesliga West, the U19 is third, Borussia U23 is fifth in the Regionalliga West. A result of the work in the "foal stable" by the team headed by Roland Virkus, the director of the junior performance center. "We have a great academy, the conditions are great. That's why we expect something to come out for us, "says Rose. "We have good coaches and talented players. Nevertheless it is not an easy way. The boys are not given anything. "

Rose herself knows how to deal with talent after he has turned many youngsters into professionals in Salzburg. "The boys all have talent," says the 43-year-old. "Now they have to work hard, prevail and learn to deal with resistance."

the 4th is the 02 Portugese Quizera and then you got Noss from the 3 who is German-Irish but headed for a provisional Irish cap tie next month. Wonder if Bongard, Pfalz are close or not, while Adigo is currently injured, if one only looks at 01s from U19. Will be curious to see who from II, U19, U17 will get chances in future. U17 if Barata continues to dev well he could be next and unlike Quizera, Barata is German-Portuguese:p.

and of course there is 00-Beyer who really needs to be given more chances this season did very well last season in 1BL.
