Arp could be the missing link that the national team require to.make us more versatile in attack

    I'm kind of hoping
    1-he pans out
    2-he makes the 2022 WC

he has 3 seasons/years to make it. Low is a type of coach that if you make it at Bayern likely will get NT call up. Even if he spends next season in 3rd Liga with some 1st year chances and then in 2020-onward he really breakthrough than that's still 2 years for him to get into it. Although I'm kind of hoping Bayern does not buy another striker next season. All while learning and training with Lewa.

also hopefully D.Otto, Burkardt,J.Eggestein etc continue to make very good strides in their pro careers. We need as many new options as possible.

just realized the writer of this, is a scout. And as a Spur fan he likely knows all about Kane.

    from his twitter
Analyst @TotalAnalysis. Ex Brentford first team scout. Combining big data & football. - All views are that of my own.

    from the site.
Championship football scout & contributor to Total Football Analysis. Also an avid Spurs fan,

one of many interesting observations from him.
We can see in the image above that Arp has found space for himself and his teammates. He has dropped deep from right-wing (where he played as a wide target-man) into the right half-space. By doing this, he has opened space for his sides number 10, number nine, and wingers to play into. Whilst it didn’t create a positional overload, it exposed large channels, inviting them to be exploited. Such ability at 19 years old is incredible, it took Harry Kane to get to the age of 22 before having such ability.

98-Aaron Herzog and 01-Kaan Kurt are training with the Gladbach 1st team.

-Augsburg 1st team won 6-0 vs some minnow.
Youth played: Asta (01), Stanic (provisionally capped by Croatia), Malone, Russo, Cevis (01), Kudala (02)
    Koudelka (02), Petkov, Lannert.

Scorers: Petkov and Cevis both scored once.

More 00 strikers with 1st team as both Malone and Petkov are 00 forward. While Cevis is a 01 striker.
Malone should have scored a double, extremely unlucky was more of a hold up striker.

a bit more about Arp from Kovac, more detailed.
"Fiete is a very young player with a lot of potential."He is certainly a player who is unparalleled in his class,", "raved the head coach, but immediately braked too high expectations. "He has to get the time now to mature. He has to try to absorb everything he can soak up in a short time.

well Kovac did say he sees Arp in senior NT in a few years, when Arp 1st signed at Bayern.;)

sounds like a lot of the 00 strikers will get slow integration. Makes sense who starts regularly 19 year old strikers?

    2BL Karlsruher loaning players out.
99-Vujinovic and 99-Hanek seem headed out on loan.

Meanwhile, youngster Janis Hanek, who made his first steps in professional football last season with seven appearances in the third league, can still leave the club. The 20-year-old midfielder, however, enjoys great appreciation in Karlsruhe and should only be awarded in order to get more match practice elsewhere.

not going to cover every preseason game.

    -Mainz won 9-0.
Youth Played: J.Meier, Burkardt, Nebel (02), R.Baku, Dahmen, Papela (01), Eyibil (01), Kolle, Gurleyen, Fedl

Absent or unused were Tauer and Schonfelder, shame since both seem to have done well in the last game. Although reality is that it seems like outside of Eyibil, Papela, Tauer, and Schonfelder are likely going back to U19 next season.

Scorers: Jonny boy Burkardt with another hat trick, that's 6 goals in 2 games (who knows about assists and no one plays full game it's all 45 min stretches, basically 6 goals scored in 90 min in preseason) , outscoring the 1BL experienced and Summer bought Ji (only 3 in 2 games). R.Baku had a brace while Akono 1 goal. Seems like Akono had 2 assists and Kolle 1. Nebel also seems like he was lively in the half he played.

that's 6 goals out 9 scored by youth players.

what's funny about Burkardt is how he wears Bandannas, lol. Feels like such a 90s/early 2000 thing. Still wears one during the preseason.

-Abouchabaka and Kehr finally returned to fitness and played vs EPL relegated Huddersfield in a 1-0 loss. Abouchabaka played the full game and played in CM (can play CM/AM/LW). Overall Huddersfield were slightly better, Abouchabaka was decent, went for every header and was pretty physical too, although looked casual out there, in terms of running. Guess it has to do with only being a friendly and he just came back from fitness issues.

-Gladbach had an 8-0 friendly win.
Youth used: Kurt (01), Bennetts, Herzog, Gaal (01),

Bennetts scored once. Seeing tons of praise for Kurt in the game, played RB.
Beyer was unfit while Musel was unused bench player. Ugh, seriously feel like Gladbach have no idea what to do with him. Why play 96-Makridis over Musel? Musel is better player and younger too. Still that was only the 1st preseason game, Musel should still get chances, hopefully.

also but we were told by our "football expert" that we would be lucky if 1-2 01 makes it in 1BL.:ROFLMAO: Not even realistic in the slightest, no age group only has 1-2 players in 1BL and that's it. All based on youth NT results that are based on coach selection and call ups that are all over the place not related to how players perform and progress at clubs. And there are too many players in too many clubs, dfb can't call up everyone so tons of players get ignored or left out but that has no bearing on how they do in club. And even the players who do get called up and don't perform for dfb, club chances are still based on the player themselves individually.

that has always been the issue with the whole basing a whole age group based on dfb results. Club chances=Solo Thing, each player is individually looked at, they aren't looked at together. What does a player at Mainz have to do with one at Bayern? Nothing even if they play together in dfb.

speaking of 01s, seems like plenty of them are rated in 2BL. Seems like only a matter of time before some are given chances (some played 2BL last season a bit or made the bench). If they can breakthrough 2BL, could be only a matter of time before they jump to 1BL, of course talking about years from now. Nothing says one has to start his career in 1BL(1BL Academy).

looks like 2 goals (one in each game) out of 6 scored by Burkardt have been headers.

this really does describe him well.
    Position: CF
    Player role: complete forward
Strengths: pace, movement, finishing, instinct, heading, technique

Last season got tons of praise from his coach, management and even teammates who praised him highly for his dribbling and that he could be an important factor down the line for the club. Pretty much his set of skills are very different. He's Mainz youngest ever 1BL debutant. His only issue last season was that he played 4 1BL games and started all 4, usually players are more like 4 sub appearances in their debut. Also got robbed of drawing a PK at a crucial time during one match. Was not physically there yet so he went back to U19 but the coach/management were still planning with him in Summer-onwards. And Mainz fans stated that he looked more buff/physical before the preseason started.

now in preseason, he's making himself hard to ignore. The coach praised him, the Mainz captain also is praising him. Kicker headline about Burkardt advertising himself well.

speaking of Burkardt (can also be used as LW) that he can breakthrough 1BL next season could make him and Arp hard to ignore for next U21 cycle. And the more 00 strikers breakthrough 1BL the more it will be tough for them to be ignored. Even 00 strikers breakingthrough 2BL could be hard to ignore if they perform at higher level. So even if next cycle should focus on 98-99 only, no guarantees. Although I still advocate that most of the squad need to be 98-99, this is the last chance for so many players to ever play for Germany, kind of sucks when they get left out for someone younger. And we have more than enough options from 98-99 strikers and even more if some move to higher level in Summer 2020.

00 striker Ngankam now at 7 goals in 3 games in preseason for Hertha II, scoring in every game. Guess Hertha are prioritizing II since that starts this weekend and Hertha II play next weekend. Although not sure why Pronichev started over him in II today (did not score) or why Kiprit outside of pro contract gets to play with 1st team? Oh well neither Kiprit nor Pronichev have a future at the club. So Ngankam needs to impress in II when the season starts.

speaking of 01 in 2BL St Pauli's Loubongo.
For Aurel - born in Hamburg, parents from the Congo - it is the first professional training camp: "I see this as a huge opportunity." In the test against Ingolstadt (3: 0) he succeeded his first professional hit. Coach Jos Luhukay (56): "That was a highlight of his speed."

Curious: The hit celebrated Loubongo alone in front of a space boundary wall. He jumped down, landing with his legs spread and his arms folded.

Luhukay jokes: "Since he thanked the many spectators on the side ..."

Aurel explains, "I was a bit confused. Those were just the emotions that I've been cheering with the wall. This is a goal by my favorite player Kylian Mbappe. He is my idol."

A professional contract with Pauli Loubongo already has in his pocket, but only from 2020: "So what? I'll go full throttle before. "

meanwhile 99-C.Conteh wants a pro contract got an assist today and seems to be doing well enough in preseason while 00 GK Schmidt also wants a pro contract, kept a clean sheet when he played.

meanwhile 01 Striker Paul Glatzel will be part of Liverpool 1st team preseason and will get playing time.
“I would say it’s quite difficult to immediately be part of that first-team squad because we are really strong, but it’s always like it is. These boys are our future if they want to be our future. That’s how it is because for that they need to take all the steps,” Klopp told Liverpoolfc.com.

“They are at a wonderful club with wonderful coaches. Whoever leads the training, whether it’s me or Pep [Lijnders] or Critch [Neil Critchley] or whoever, it will always be a good session. But this pre-season is for them exciting of course.

“A lot of them will be part of the US tour, we have to use that because of the number of games we play. We need all of them and that’s nice. Only as an example, Bobby Duncan and Paul Glatzel: our offensive line that played last year is coming pretty late in joining us in the pre-season, so we have to be creative system-wise and all that stuff, but there will be moments when they have to play.

“Not only at Tranmere or whatever, but in America as well when we play Borussia Dortmund and all the other guys. So, it’s good and it’s always like this: when you are already in the club, then the door is always open for you to the first team.

“The thing is you have to go through by yourself - we only open the door, we don’t push you through. So, I’m open, I’m very open for exciting football players and if the boys show up, good for them and good for us.”

-really does seem like the HSV youth for next season will end up being (for now), Fein, David, Vagnoman and Wintzheimer...............and maybe Ambrosius who is currently unfit.

today, HSV drew Olympiacos, the Greek 1st division 2nd place team from last season.

99 CF Wintzheimer doing very well in the build up play for the equalizer!!!
5:00-onwards, He's the guy who puts his back to goal to shrug off a defender, draws 2 defenders on him before laying it out to Kittel who assists Hinterseer for the goal.

-speaking of more 01s, looks like Dynamo Dresden played 3 01s today in a 2-1 win vs 3rd Liga club.
mentioned numerous times is 01-Ehlers (CB) but also played today were 01-Grosser (DM) and 01-Schurz (RB). Also played was Burnic. Atilgan, Lowe and Kulke were absent for whatever reason.

The Mainz coach gave special praise for Burkardt, who now has six goals on his account in two tests: "Jonny is moving well, he is always in the counter pressing - he has now developed really well!"

-99 CF Roczen out for a number of weeks so will miss some 3rd Liga games.

-97 Torunarigha wants to play for Germany, it's his dream all while Nigeria still want to poach him.

There it is,lack of physicality and need to upgrade some more on Burkardt. And reiterates that teams should not be impatient with players who lack physicality, need to wait. Even playing 1BL when not really ready is a good lesson.

That's why JONATHAN BURKARDT IS SO STRONG NOW
    Mucki Secret at Mainz talent
2 kilos more muscle than last year

Actually, Ji, Onisiwo and Quaison were fighting for the place next to Mateta in the Mainz storm. But maybe somebody, who was not even on the bill, can do it: At the moment Jonathan Burkardt (since Thursday 19) is in the lead.

The super talent has already scored six goals in two test games. The homegrown looks now much more athletic, adult than a few months ago. That has its reasons ...

    More Muckis, more goals!

Trainer Sandro Schwarz says: "Quote has always been Johnny in all U-teams. But now he has also gained a lot of physical strength, got much more muscle in the upper body area. "2 kilos are more than last year in the summer preparation.

And then Black reveals how the 05ers made the striker what he is now:

    ► Talk a lot!

After four Bundesliga games early last season, he had no chance. Schwarz: "You have to explain to a young player that it is not a punishment to play U19 again - but that he needs the practice there."

    ► Load carefully!

The technically gifted Burkardt seemed a bit fragile. Schwarz: "He already had some injuries. We still have to pay attention to the load control. "

    ► completely individual construction!

Schwarz: "We took him out of the game in April completely. So he could be trained athletically alone, without having to consider the weekend. "

Episode: Burkardt makes the higher-rated striker stars powerful pressure.
    https://www.bild.de/sport/fussball/...geheimnis-bei-mainz-talent-63237804.bild.html

Also happy 19th to Burkardt as he turned today. Now the physicality issue is less of a problem going forward.

    97 striker lyoha scouting analysis.

    Only posting Intro and Conclusion.
It is hoped from a Fortuna Dusseldorf perspective that the 2019/20 campaign will be a breakout for him. Two loan spells away from the club have been unrewarding statically, but the hope that with an attacking out looking side like Holstein Kiel perhaps Iyoha will finally unlock his full potential. This tactical analysis aims to give an insight on the German U21 international and whether 21-year-old can help Holstein Kiel remain in the top echelon of the 2. Bundesliga.

    Conclusion
This is built up to be quite an important season for Iyoha as his chances at Fortuna Düsseldorf seem to be fading. At Holstein Kiel, Iyoha will have to hit the ground running in developing a strong partnership with Serra at the heart of the attack. Iyoha has a great opportunity with Holstein Kiel who buy into the philosophy of playing quick, full-fledged attacking football.

The question is whether Schubert will be the right man to unlock Iyoha’s footballing capabilities? A manager who has his critics with his team’s footballing philosophy and too many is a short term coach rather than someone to build a promotion challenge with. The relationship between Iyoha and Schubert will be vital. Iyoha is contracted at Fortuna Düsseldorf until 2022, a strong season in Kiel may give manager Funkel something to think this time next year.

    97 CF Reese scouting analysis.

    Only posting intro and conclusion.
The trend of sending young players on loan to gain experience and hopefully progress enough to warrant first-team action upon return is commonplace. Big clubs, in particular, use second and third-tier sides who are willing to give their players quality minutes which will benefit their development. One such player is Fabian Reese, a 21-year old striker who played the 2018/19 season with 2. Bundesliga side Greuther Fürth. This tactical analysis looks at the Kiel native, his performance with Greuther Fürth and whether he will earn an opportunity under David Wagner and Schalke. Or conversely, whether Reese will be loaned out again or even sold.

    conclusion.
At this moment in time, the jury is still out on Reese as a Bundesliga player. You would even go as far to say that Reese isn’t a prototypical striker, in fact, he has been deployed so often as a wide option that his ability to play the number nine role effectively have diminished somewhat.

With a new Schalke boss and the line of returning players from injury, it’s hard to see Reese in the mix at the moment. That said, a return to the 2. Bundesliga would be a very good option for Reese. Another year to develop his skills and at the end of the season perhaps Schalke will assess his value. Reese has been a tease, showcasing his potential which leaves us unfulfilled at the present.

    Fortuna won another friendly 3-0.
Youth Played: Kastenmeier, Appelkamp, Buhler, Barkok, Bornemann.

Barkok was only player to play full game, the rest got 1 half game time. Kastenmeier kept a clean sheet. While looks like Appelkamp usually more of a CM/AM played RB today. Seems like one of those, too many players in CM/AM so he was deployed elsewhere.

Scorers: Appelkamp (assisted by Barkok) and Bornemann scored once. That's 2/3 from youth players. Also makes it 2 goals in 2 games for the 00 striker Bornemann in preseason. Interesting that last time he scored no striker scored more than 1 and today, he's the only striker to score.....

and the kids played in the half that was less 1st team players too, which is the 2nd half.

01-Paul Glatzel with his 1st senior Liverpool game and with an assist vs an English 3rd division club as they win 6-0.

look at that the 2 01s Duncan and Glatzel who formed a storm duo, playing off each other. Just like in the youth levels.
Typical Duncan though, that Brit is pretty much a poaching striker, while Glatzel seems to be the more creative one from the duo. It's why their partnership has been a success, they are opposites/compliment each other's game.

lol how Glatzel assisted even while being hassled and taken down by that defender.

Also looks like Glatzel injured himself as well and who knows extent of the injury.

outside of being forced to have one, the Academies of Frankfurt and RB Leipzig are useless.

looks like 00-Stierlin is having a trial with 3rd Liga club Unterhaching. Who knows if he's extending his 2020 contract and going on loan (low level loan) or leaving permanently.

if it's a loan it's stupid, since RB Leipzig have shown themselves to only tolerate 1st or 2nd division experience for their players. Screams he would have to go on another loan in 2020.

Hoppe, L.Kruger and Bohmer still need to find new clubs since they can't play U19 anymore.

have to say its a big shame when we keep seeing prospects who are better than 3rd Liga go to 3rd Liga. Since there is no room for them in 1BL clubs, than like I keep saying 2BL is not a great place for young players......like not at all, it's more late 20s/early 30s and tons of times youngest are pretty much like 23+. So players end up being forced to go to 3rd Liga if they want more guaranteed playing time at a higher level than RL. Lame.

not sure which is more bizarre move.

    97-Badu moves to Russia.

have to say recent Wolfsburg II move have either been weird or irrelevant.
97-Badu to Russia........seems to be Sparta 2 aka 2nd division, so no real career progress yet.
97-Conde goes from one RL club to another=0 career progress
98-Neuwirt joined Conde from one RL club to another=0 career progress
98-Kara goes from one RL club to another=0 career progress
97-Donkor went on loan to 3rd Liga last season and now moving to 3rd Liga permanently. Not much progress.
    98-Bohn went to 6th division..............

    better moves
    96-Hanslik to 2BL
    98-M.Saglam to Turkish 1st division
    98-Franke to 2BL
