I couldn't imagine our MLS overlords accepting a beer or even spirits maker as a team's jersey sponsor given their close relationship with Heineken. While I never quite got Leidos, given their local concentration, but I guess other teams like OC have very local sponsors. I'd kind of expected a big national/international name. I really was expecting Amazon and was just hoping it wouldn't be a Gulf airline. Pablo Mauer's release that the next closest option was PWC was kindda surprising, but along the lines of magnitude of what I was expecting.

They really don’t want anyone playing up top but Rooney. Roll out one of the young forwards and let them grow.

Well, they just released it... and it's basically a white t-shirt.

They must not want anyone to buy it.

This front office is great at failing to meet the lowest of expectations.

    I don't have the words.

The good news that somewhere in central America next year a team will be playing in brand new DCU away kits against a team wearing Buffalo Bills Superbowl LIV Champions t-shirts.

If it had just been solid red people would have been running out into the streets to buy it and thank their lucky stars that they didn't get screwed like the fans of Dallas, Colorado, New England ...

    • Significant season ticket price increases
    • FloTV
    • Contract issues with a major star
    • No improvements to a stadium still left with a number of holes
    • White t-shirt jersey

    Quite the offseason!

Away Jerseys in particular are whatever Adidas decides to manufacture for MLS. Everybody's Away Jerseys will look like ours.

The twitterverse is having great fun with it. I hear the team store has a special 3 pack for $9.99.

It's white and gray and white. It could have featured some red or black. There was nothing preventing that. They still could have made it primarily white and featured a template pattern in a different color. They didn't. This is on the front office.

White is on MLS. The lack of details I mentioned are on the team.

I never received the initial Parking email, so I had to hound my rep to send me another. I finally received it yesterday, and there is no lot H/I, it must be sold out. There are only 3 options left, and they are all way more expensive than what I paid for Lot H last year. The chepest left is $493 which appears to be $29 per game if my math is correct.

    1) The sports bras are going to be shining through these jerseys.

    2) What’s the cheapest parking option for the Nats games?

    Thx,

    Jay!

The bad news is Lot L is $9 more per game than I paid last year. The good news is that it seems even further away from Audi field than lot H/I. Great job DC United!!

I was near EagleBank Stadium (TM sitruc) this morning and drove by for a look. Some advertising banner/tarp replacements have been put back up on the west side, between the top row and the roof. Nothing solid.
I think I saw Audi, EagleBank, Kaiser Permanente, and maybe Deloitte banners.
Backside of the scoreboard is still bare.

They thought they were getting a club area and instead got the most prominent exterior branding.

Isn't Lot L the lot directly across the street (N St) from Lot H/I kinda sharing a location with the Trapeze school? - I think they parked us there one game last year because H/I was being used for parking vans for some stupid running thing. On the opposite side of the lot was where the running teams checked in and it turned out to be the world's easiest access to a bunch of porta-potties - 3 rows no waiting. And some food trucks.

Since my photos from last Sunday are now obsolete, I may as well post them now.
    20190217_131641.jpg

I saw my friend for the first time in a while. Out of the corner of my eye, I caught myself being watched by another friend while taking photos. I'm not sure if it was a skunk, badger or large cat. I just saw it before it hid under a building by the Buzzard Point Plant.

I mentioned I saw what could be behind eventually putting up some ads. 20190217_133109.jpg

Lyft scooters and no updated signage. 20190217_133005.jpg 20190217_132942.jpg 20190217_132848.jpg 20190217_132657.jpg

I was much more interested in the steel forming the bridge. 20190217_123542.jpg
