I'm really digging Anacostia Beach! All suggestions get a gold star.

 

The Bermuda Triangle has a nice ring to it. Maurice? Little Puerto Rico. The Wharf of Northern Aggression?

are they covering the sides of the stands? how about the unfinished big entrance on the corner across the team Store?

 

That may change if and when they expand the north end stands

 

I saw no signs of this.

I don't know what this is in the parking lot. Here's the Volocity website where they have a typo and call it Buzzard Piint.

The use of stones to keep the gate shut still bothers me. All of the stadium wayfinding signage is complete

No sign of pocket parks and benches where there is grass.

The funky paint in the parking lot by the beer garden is actually a couple of kick ball "fields."

 

I figured it was part of adults doing that Volocity stuff doing children's games wrong.

 

Curtis we thank you as always! That lack of a crest on the East facade drives me nuts. Also needs more black and red.

BREAKING: The XFL is set to announce - likely next week - that it's going to put a franchise in DC and that they'll play at @AudiField. Details are still unclear, but they've been in talks w/#DCU for several months on it. More to come.

Oh, crap.

Hey, DCU FO, charge the XFL extra rent, to reimburse the cost of fixing that torn-up pitch every week.
All that extra cash inflow will be great . . . right up until Senor Wayne hits a gridiron-induced divot and blows-out a knee.

Gives purpose to those time clocks they installed on each end of the pitch.

 

I always expected high school and college.

 

Not a fan in anyway what so ever. Given how the Wembly pitch looked after the NFL I don't know how they'd expect it to be in shape to play on a week later. Having waited years for this team to come good, doing something to decrease the on field product is disappointing. This is a team that all of us now look at and have high expectations for, as opposed to one that we looked at and hoped would be good, like in past years when over the hill or reclamation project players needed to replicate the previous season's results and performances.

For them to decrease the value of the one field product while the off field product is still a work in progress is just plain disheartening.

 

Maybe we'll just go on a long road trip while the XFL is playing and the FO re-lays the field ... we've not done that before have we?

Beat me to it! I don't a lot about turf, but I don't see how this can happen during the rainiest months of the year without doing season-long damage. It would seem that Byrd Stadium would be a natural for this.

 

I think RFK would be even better. Anywhere but Audi Field.
