2,097 season ticket holders have decided to not renew. However, the club apparently has a waiting list of 2,464 people waiting to get season tickets.

And what a shame too, Betis were doing very good from 01 to 05 (specifically 2005 4th place?) then started declining.

That's a pretty good transfer fee, but losing him has got to hurt.

For 11 million, its hard to make a case not to let him go. This guy just never took off, his is one of the lost souls of the real madrid cantera.

I happened to be flying back from Florida yesterday on Continental so I paid the $ to watch TV on the flight and really enjoyed the match. Atletico I believe has the team to compete for a CL slot and if they do well in the next few matches: Barca at home and Valencia away, they could be one of the surprise teams and compete with the big boys this season. Simao's heel pass and shielding of the Athletic defender gave Forlan the necessary room to open up the score. Except for the last minute lapse on defense by Dominguez which gave Llorente all the room he needed to score, the defense looked great. Aguero before he was chopped down by Gurpegui was creating havoc for the Bilbao defense. Good news is that Aguero's injury seems to be a bad bruise and he will be ready for the Barca match.

Here is the match summary in English thanks to soccernet.com.

    Good game in my opinion.
the score line was a bit flattering, it could easily been 1-4 if Mella (Messi and Villa) scored their chances.
Anyone notice the standing ovation Iniesta received on the substitute? Its the thank you for the world cup goal :D

I dont think we can compete with the big boys, not with this defense.
I was hoping for a draw, oh well.

Definitely need a win against Zaragoza to get back on track and keep up with the leaders.

Also, Alex Ferguson is apparently interested in De Gea.

What a disappointment this season was. I thought we'd be competing for the 3rd spot. I thought Forlan was gonna have a great year. I was wrong. And now De Gea and Aguero are most likely gone. Not good times.

Any other Atleti fans this thread seems dead. Lol.

European football and in particular the Spanish league is in crises as far as am concerned.

Barca and Madrid bullied everyone including European "top" teams (Barca destroyed and toyed with United who is supposedly the best team in england).

Till UEFA and the regional federations fix this broke a$$ system (giving Madrid and Barsa more money), I am afried football will get more one sided every year.
Next year will be even worse for us.. meh.
