That’s something nearly all defenders do these days .. De Ligt did the same thing last week and even Liverpool’s VVD turns his back on incoming shots .

Sadly the days of Puyol will never return!!

I hate that guy so damn much .

Why haven’t the refs got wise to his Pepe like ways?

He deliberately tried to do FDJ after about 80 seconds -he went straight through the back of Frenkie after the ball had gone .. the ref said nothing !!

That’s what you get when you play Rakitic and Roberto rather than Arthur and Coutinho....

Valverde left all four Brazilians out last night . Mmmmmmmmm

Arthur is coming back from injury. I’m pretty sure Rafina played.

Apparently, Busquets told someone from Athletic that he wasn't going to play a few days before the match. If so, very irresponsible by one of club captain. All Athletic had to do was put two player on FDJ that was it.

Bad result but it was fun to watch in NYC while I was there on vacation. The NYC FCB Penya filled Smithfield Hall (at least 1 side of it, seemed Bayern filled the adjacent side), seemed to number over 150 people and 18 TVs all tuned to the Bilbao-Barca match.

Well there were at least 10 wearing Athletic stuff and they sang a great Aduriz song after he scored.

Was surprised the Bayern fans seemed in good spirits posing for photos out front after their game ended in a draw, but it was a comeback draw for them & the first game of the new season. I did not stick around after the final whistle to see if the NYC Penya also took group photos after FCB's late loss.

That was fun to see, some good commentary by fans and well made video. I spotted myself only at 1:40 (I'm sitting at the bar at halftime, Barca hat and grey t-shirt on, to the left of the man wearing a Xavi jersey, looking at my phone, the the halftime interviewee walks back in).

It was a great goal by a Athletic legend, just after he was subbed on. Wish I could find their fan's chant "aritz aduriz song" online.
