A few one off games where we lose is different from constantly losing against the same team over and over again.

Should also say that under viera we got an Asian Cup, under Zico we were fighting to get to the world cup, and under Akram Salman we won the 2005 West Asian Cup.

Under Radhi we got thrashed by Australia, we got embarrassed by the Saudis and we were thrown out of the qualifiers by UAE in only 5 games.

That's not true at all. I've looked at the record.

Since 2001 we've beaten the saudis 7 times and lost 6 times. 3 of those losses were from Radhi and Hakeem.

Since 2001 we've beaten the Emiratis 3 times and lost 4 times. 4 of those losses were from Radhi and Hakeem Shakir's time.

Since 2001 we've beaten the Bahrainis 3 times, lost 4 times and drew 5 times. One loss was in the corrupt Pan Arab Games, another in the gulf cup and a 3rd was on penalties.

Oman is the only team that we have a terrible record against. We lost 6 times against them and we beat them 3 times.

Even if we go by your time range, we still have a strong record against these teams.

What's even the point of going back to 2001? That's 3 generations of players. Makes no sense at all.

The truth and fact is that we are losing against teams we normally beat. We have better players but we still lose.

You can say all day that we are garbage and everyone is better than us, but that is wrong and not true and anyone can see it.

What pattern are you talking about?

I've given you all the information and anyone who wants can look it up. It's clear that we have winning records against every team you mentioned. What does 2001 have to do with anything.

I'm sorry, but your points don't make any sense.

I think you're losing it Lambo. Mentioning the 2005 West Asian Games cup, a meaningless tournament with mainly B-teams with important World Cup qualifiers in one sentence. Are you serious?

Iraqi fans are so funny. It's not any different in the league where coaches get the sack every 3 months.
I have nothing to say anymore. Just wait and see what happens when a new coach takes over and the same abysmal results show up.

Irak101 is right. Our winning record was made back in the 80's and 90's when we were still dominating on the Asian stage.

Yeah, I'm losing it. You're the guy clinging to little knocks on past coaches just to make your love Radhi look better.

The stats are there to be seen by everyone. Our record has been strong for years and definitely into the 2000s. If you cared about facts you can look it up.

If you think our team is so trash then don't watch or support the team. Better that you don't say anything else, since you're going against hard facts.

What is this weak mentality that we are low and we should stay low? If we were Indonesia or sri lanka then I'd understand, but you guys are ridiculous.

You aren't just making up weak excuses for Radhi anymore, you're actually denying recorded facts and now I'm the one losing it.

I'm not denying recorded facts, but there is a difference between friendly tournaments with mostly B-teams and World Cup qualifiers. We have never beat Saudi Arabia in World Cup qualifiers.

We are not the team we once were. You have to accept the fact that countries like KSA and UAE surpassed us in terms of league and infrastructure and it shows in their NT. This is due to the long term goals they are working at.

The 2007 squad was talented. We used to win games convincingly due to the likes of Younis, Nashat, Mahdi Karim etc. It was raw talent and chemistry. We still have talented players though, but the team needs to gel.

Adnan Hamad worked for years to build the team that we call the 'golden generation' now. The team failed to qualify for the 2002 and 2006 World Cups before we won the 2007 Asian Cup.

look at our records with the teams you talk about before 2001 and after 2001 and you will see

we win more % in the time before 2001, against uae, ksa, oman, bahrain and then look at the wins % after 2001 and you will see the pattern Iraq win % was over 65% (before 2001) and after 2001 it is low 40%

see what is happening? this is called decline

All the money they can have, Khaleej will never surpass Iraq in football. The only exception being Saudi, they have been a great team over the years and have had difficult transitions as well. But for now Iraq must focus, from the grassroots. Age cheating, academies, facilities and most importantly, playing at home. Of course it is difficult to achieve these when a country is in a situation like this. Hopefully the stadium ban is lifted and Iraq can play at home.

Gulf countries can be better than us and they are working on that currently. Raw talent is not enough anymore. Football is business and we should re-invent football again in Iraq.

Let me give you an example:

Omar Abdul-Rahman, playing on weekly basis in the UAE League (ranked 2 in AFC). Training with world class facilities, fitness coaches and strict diets. Playing against the likes of Al-Ahli and Al-Wahda.

Ayman Hussein, playing regularly in the Iraqi League (ranked 10 in AFC) if the game's not getting postponed. Training with below par facilities without strict diets. Playing against the likes of Al-Hedood and Al-Kahraba.

Hopefully you understood my message. Our league is not producing enough for the NT.

I agree with what you are saying but you can not just throw the cash at these facilities, how do you expect world class coaches and fitness coaches to come to Iraq and be paid on a guaranteed basis amid safety in the country. There are much more things in Iraq that need funding right now, from the water to electricity that is scarce during the summer. The country needs to be developed form square one and slowly football can be put into place along with infrastructure. When talent has funding and professionalism Iraqi football will be very good.

Fully agree with you here. Now do you understand why I'm against putting the blame on the coach for the poor results? The issue is not with Radhi but the foundation and whole set-up of Iraqi football.

Hopefully we'll see improvements in the near future.

I argue like a kid and you don't know how to look at numbers.

Most of those losses after 2001 are from after 2012.

I already showed you that you are wrong and you are sticking with your nonsense.

And still you stick with 2001 which is a meaningless date. It has nothing to do with anything.

We already have a history of beating those teams. Doesn't matter when those wins happened.

You just talk nonsense and act as if you know everything.

I think this is our best chance to lift the ban on the stadiums. We have world class stadiums, safety is better and it's much more organized this time around.

We will hear more about in January at the FIFA meeting. During that time we will also organize friendlies against Tunisia, Lebanon and UAE if FIFA gives us the green light.

I don't even know what to say to someone like you.

I gave you numbers already. I gave you statistics from FIFA and I gave you our record and everything.

You still don't even have a reason why our record from 2001 even matters.

You've shown me that it's pointless to try and discuss anything with you.

I have never argued with an ignorant fool and won; nor have I argued with a rational person and lost. - Ali bin abi talib.

you funny man, see the numbers and everyone see it, the numbers all say Iraq % is falling in win% and rising in %loss

ask anyone and see what they say look at the numbers i show. thank you

quoting Ali bin abi talib does not make you correct.

you not give any statistics from FIFA and our record, i gave the record and show the pattern of decline. do not argue just to argue
