Christoph Spycher will sit out the next two weeks of training due to an injury that he picked up in training. Other friendly matches and notes from training camp: Lustrinelli made an immediate impact for ACB in their match ws FC Winterthour. In opening the scoring, he led the way for Feltscher to score two time and Gaspar once. For FC Winterthour, Kuzmanovic scored on a penalty kick. FC Basel destroyed FC Rottach-Egern, a lower division club from Germany. Goals were by Schürpf/3, Mustafi/2, Kusunga and Baron. FC Thun defeated FC Belp/2.L. Interesting to see that all four goals on the opening day were scored by four strikers who have a good amount of pressure on them to deliver for their respective clubs.
St Gallen getting trashed by Luzern. They really should look for more new players, why not raid some FCZ and FCB youngsters? What happened to their Vfb partnership?
Gygax the man of the first round so far with 2 goals and 1 assist. Yakin also with a goal and an assist also to mention that Prijovic scored for Sion. He entered at HT for Zambrella. Prijovic had quite a good pre-season. Interesting too see how he will be doing this season
Zurich won the derby against GC 2-0. Rodriguez won his place as left back. Magnin not even on the bench. Neither Leoni. Maybe he is leaving FCZ? Reminds me von Bergen does not have a contract yet. What about FCZ? And Rodriguez should get a call by Hitzfeld... Thun won 3-2 at Xamax and are already 4 points ahead of Bellinzona. I guess it's going to be a very difficult season for ACB. Proschwitz again the matchwinner for Thun. YB denied a goal against Lucerne and a second draw for them. Sion denied a goal against Basel who had the lucky winner in the 93rd minute and took the lonely lead. Alex Frei scored his 3rd goal in the second match. Also noteable, Fabian Frei with 2 goals and 1 assist. Teixeira with his 2nd goal in his 2nd SL match as also Proschwitz. Dudar could have scored twice today but he was denied by the bar. He seems to be in very good shape. YB not in scoring rhythm yet without Doumbia, but they have players who can take his footsteps

Crazy end to the FCZ-Sion match. Vanins gets a very questionable for DOGSO and Sion was out of subs. Elmer Jonas goes into the goal and a few min makes a great save on a swerving shot, gives up the rebound and Teixeira scores for FCZ. FC Sion managed to defend well and even had a great shot at the end as Fabrizio drew a Free Kick right at the end of Stoppage Time. Yoda had a great shot off the bar and the follow up was put over the bar. Crazy end of the match. FC Sion played much better that FCZ. Ogararu George scored for FC Sion. ACB surprised and further pushed YB into a hole with a 2-1 home win. Lustrinelli scored in the 6' for ACB with Feltscher in the 40'. YB played horrible in the first half and for their part did play better in the second half. Mayuka scored in the 83' of a nice pass from Bienvenu.
August 1 FT Basel 3 - 0 St. Gallen FT Lucerne 4 - 2 Neuchatel Xamax FT Thun 2 - 2 Grasshoppers Basel looked good, FCSG looked bad. Thun has done well so far this season. Xamax was up 0-2 but due to some theatrics by Yakin where he drew a Red Card, and some foul play by Yakin, and a goal scored off an arm, Luzern came back in the final 30 min and scored 4 times. 1. Basel 3 +5 9 2. Luzern 3 +6 7 3. Thun 3 +1 5 4. Zürich 3 +1 4 5. Sion 3 +1 4 6. Bellinzona 3 -2 3 7. St. Gallen 3 -6 3 8. YB 3 -1 2 9. GC 3 -2 2 10. NE Xamax 3 -3 1
Yakin is being investigated for his actions in the match by the SFA. Also both Xamax and FC Sion have requested that non-Swiss refs do their matches due to the results from the past few matches.

August 7 FT Bellinzona 1 - 0 Basel FT Neuchatel Xamax 3 - 4 Zurich Alphonse scores his 3rd in the 89th min for FCZ to send Xamax to another crushing defeat. Bellinzona behind Super Mario scores early then hangs on for the surprise win over Basel.

August 21 FT St. Gallen 1 - 1 Sion FT Thun 1 - 1 Basel August 22 FT Grasshoppers 0 - 3 Lucerne FT Neuchatel Xamax 1 - 2 Bellinzona FT Young Boys Bern 1 - 0 Zurich FCL continues to mystify me. How could they play so well in the league, they play so poorly in the Europa League. It is hard to believe, but Bellinzona is playing well right now and are in 4th place. It really looks like Xamax will struggle this season along with FCSG. Xamax has been in a free fall since the transfer window last winter. FCSG played well last season. What has happened? 1. Luzern 6 +11 13 2. Thun 6 +4 10 3. Basel 6 +1 10 4. Bellinzona 6 0 10 5. Sion 6 +2 9 6. Zürich 6 +1 8 7. YB 6 0 8 8. GC 6 -5 5 9. NE Xamax 6 -4 4 10. St. Gallen 6 -10 4
