Yeah, but it's only a story if they tell it as you said. Per the "heel support" crowd, I won't even touch it...you know how I feel about that stuff, lol.

I am not shocked...I just hope it is an optional add in to an insole, not a forced outsole feature that can't be changed.

the x-fly has been my fav boot. i prefer to morelia. extremely comfortable. the boots outsole does lose stiffness which is not a bad thing. the most comfy boot for me is x-fly best outsole is adidas x-top shame i cant fit in them anymore.

on sizing of x-fly they half a size bigger than morelia. im a 28cm in morelia and a 27.5cm in x-fly

its the stitching in toebox. that will change the way the boot molds to feet. im still using my x-fly 1's

Just ordered my first pair of serious shoes. Asics Gel-Lethal Tigreor. They arrived yesterday.I'm stumped on whether to return them or not. I read the review on Runners choice net.

Has anyone had any experience with either of these models?! I remember them from years ago but never tried them, i have always wanted to though.

I just really need to know how they fit! 160691.jpg 160688.jpg

Asics is one brand I've never tried , and I don't really know anything about their football boots at all. In terms of trainers/sneakers I love them though - they tend to be much better made than anything I've had from other brands recently.

Have they released any top end turf shoes over the last few years? I've mentioned it on here before, but I play on old style astroturf once a week and I'm in a never ending search to find something nice to play in on that surface (preferably leather).

they've got several, but recently moved their top end turf boots (the Destaque 6/7) into synthetic uppers, they're still pretty good, just not leather.

If leather is a big thing go for the DS light turf models. Those don't have the gel ones that the DEstaque has but i guess there has to be some sort of tradeoff aha

Cool thanks. How does sizing work out? I'm usually US9 / JP27 in most boots (Morelia II, Umbro Speciali etc).

Asics street trainers/sneakers always seem to come up slightly small (maybe only 0.25 size) but I still wear my normal size and they usually work out ok.

ps - are these the ones? http://global.rakuten.com/en/store/sportskym/item/soc_tra_1609/

I've searched the forum and I see most people were saying go half a size down with the first DS Light model, is that true for these too?

and one more question.... do they have the raised heal thing? (I hope not!)

    thanks!

    yeap those are the ones.

In all honesty I have no idea, since Asics sizing is all over. but i would say, to go down half a size to be safe. the Destaques fit true to size though (i think. sigh). destaques are here - http://global.rakuten.com/en/store/flight-sports/item/tst219-0490/

nope, both do not have the raised heel.
