Nothing easy for the U21, Iraq is a pretty good team at the youth level for instance. Anyway, here's the group of players : GK 18 SUGIMOTO Daichi(Kyoto Sanga F.C.) 1 NIEKAWA Ayumi(Jubilo Iwata) DF 3 ENDO Wataru(Shonan Bellmare) 6 YAMANAKA Ryosuke(JEF United Chiba) 5 NISHINO Takaharu(Gamba Osaka) 2 MUROYA Sei(Meiji University) 4 IWANAMI Takuya(Vissel Kobe) 20 UEDA Naomichi(Kashima Antlers) MF 7 OHSHIMA Ryota(Kawasaki Frontale) 8 HARAKAWA Riki(Ehime FC) 12 YAJIMA Shinya(Urawa Reds) 11 KANAMORI Takeshi(Avispa Fukuoka) 17 NOZAWA Hideyuki(FCTokyo) 10 NAKAJIMA Shoya(Kataller Toyama) 15 KIDA Takuya(YokohamaF・Marinos) 19 AKINO Hiroki(Kashiwa Reysol) 16 YOSHINO Kyohei(Sanfrecce Hiroshima) FW 14 ARANO Takuma(Consadole Sapporo) 9 SUZUKI Musashi(Albirex Niigata) 13NOTSUDA Gakuto(Sanfrecce Hiroshima)
Personnally, my main fear is Teguramori. Will Musashi play again as centre forward ? Moreover; this squad lacks of side-back IMO. The only thing I like with him, it's his desire to prepare our 93 and 94 players for the olympic games (he could select some 91 and 92, but not). But besides this, I hope a true change about the way of playing compared to what we saw at Asian Cup U22 (we didn't show any intention to possess the ball, for example... that's not really the japanese's ADN, especially in Asia). Does the keepers's coach come from the Aguirre's staff ?
Yeah Saku, you are right about Iraq at this level, they can put problems, but Kuwait and Nepal aren't dangerous. So, the second place it's secured.
But I like this team Keren. Are a lot of talented players...Endo, Iwanami, Nishino, Oshima, Yajima and Notsuda.
There was no way they were going to disturb Kubo, it's just the asian games. For Minamino I guess Cerezo said no.
Man, I know you don't like Musashi, but he already played some games in J-League, scored two goals. Clearly he isn't a great player, but I think he can do well at this tournament.
? It's not that I don't like Musashi, is that this isn't the first time he's called up. I can only hope that he does better this time, but if he doesn't there is no clear position replacement, that's the point
Defense isn't that good, Ueda and Iwanami aren't great adult defenders yet and there's no cover for the only two full backs. I'm tempted to say here's more insurance in the midfield with Oshima and Nakajima and Yajima who were pretty good the last time out. Musashi is terrible so it's going to be a long tournament.
Defense is much better than previous generations. Glad to see Muroya's development hap not been stalled as a result of going to university. The media is already comparing him to Nagatomo.
Previous team didn't have the names but the defense was really solid during the Asian Games. Suzuki was more mature than any of the defenders in the team rn. I saw Muroya play recently, he's really good.

Yes, it is...SK has two players over 23 and one from Europe, Park-Joo Ho, the man from Mainz. Look Keren, Iran is not able to pick some players for the Olympics. I think that's the reason Japan have only 21-20. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iran_national_under-23_football_team#Current_squad
