Re: Asian Cup 2011 The match was a super secret training match. No tv, no real reporters. Hao should be the most physically fit out of everyone. He should leading the warm-ups, stretching, endurance and strength training, and warm-downs. He could channel the Magath.
Re: Asian Cup 2011 Thanks for the info! As for the 3GK, isnt that tourney rules? This way you always have 2 in case one is injured or suspended. Oh good lord where have I heard that before.....! More of a Q for those in Canada or US - how are you all watching this?
Re: Asian Cup 2011 sopcast, uusee, pplive, etc. CCTV-5 should have all matches, except for Japan like how they were replaced by "road to Beijing 2008" shows in 2004. Guangdong Sports Channel is also airing matches. I assume Shanghai Sports will do the same.
Re: Asian Cup 2011 http://www.google.com/hostednews/af...ocId=CNG.400e1bf922d25f17f389f67c1ed02bda.2a1 Not to hijack this thread but nothing to really talk about until the weekend. Did Wang Dalei really say that.
Re: Asian Cup 2011 yuppp it did happen. shanghai_ultra mentioned it in the Asian Games thread. lol mancity and inter milan were linked with this kid lololol. edit: link: http://soccernet.espn.go.com/columns/story/_/id/854119?cc=5901
Re: Asian Cup 2011 Isnt he kinda right? Chinese fans and media are pretty brutal on the players and its not as if we have tradition in the game. Most of the time we just wonder why we cant find 11 players out of 1 billion Realistically based on what we have done what makes anyone think we can win the Asian Cup and also make it to the World Cup?
Re: Asian Cup 2011 Wang Dalei is not your stereotypical Confucius-inspired Chinese. He's speaks his mind against authority for good or for worse. He likes rap and seems to be collecting an arm sleeve tattoo. If he were developing into the player that everyone thought he would become, then all his "qualities" would be viewed as creative flair. But since he sucks right now, his flamboyance is just annoying. I don't know what the fan backlash was. If it was just booing and chants well he and the team deserved it. He palmed/punched the cross softly into the Japanese attacker who scored. If he played in the EPL everybody would be up in arms about him being a soft 'keeper incapable of handling high balls in England. Losing 0-3 at home against a rival is very poor, especially at the youthful level where China can still somehow compete with footballing powers. http://sports.joy.cn/video/2045496.htm (0:36) EDIT: I thought Wang Dalei and Dong Fangzhuo (he argued with U20 manager Eckhard Krautzun about his playing time) would be good for Chinese football. The fearlessness to communicate on the field and to speak out against veterans playing poorly. Now it looks like both are just fools.
Re: Asian Cup 2011 please dun use that 11 in 1 billion fallacy. i dun see india entering the world cup. indonesia advancing from the group stage of asian cup and malaysia entering the asian cup.
Re: Asian Cup 2011 for the Du Wei fans: here's a 62 photos collection of china captain du wei's career: http://sports.163.com/photoview/4G9N0005/62457.html#p=6PHTBQ834G9N0005 from his youth career to celtic to winning the eaff to now.
Re: Asian Cup 2011 yeah people like to use it for dramatic effect...of course they, don't realize that out of the 1.3b people, abt half are female, and among the males half are too old or too young. and the rest only interested in making money or chasing girls
Re: Asian Cup 2011 the fallacy is stupid, but it has nothing to do with stats or anything like that... Yes, he's exactly right, but athletes aren't supposed to give this kind of interview or show this kind of personality...
Re: Asian Cup 2011 他們只有十五個國家 如果中國比袋鼠國高的話我一定強烈恥笑 btw i bet baichung bhutia, the sole indian guy in the list, is worshipped as the same level as harry kewell under the aussie eyes
Re: Asian Cup 2011 china vs. kuwait --- front seat (40 qatar currency) - $11 CAD china vs. uzbek --- front seat (40 qatar currency) - $11 CAD china vs. qatar --- front seat/sold out (40 qatar currency) - around $11 CAD damn the price is damn cheap anyone wanna go catch qatari butterfly with me?

Re: Asian Cup 2011 no i was fantasizing i wouldn't mind going if i am rich. if i were to go i think one game or two games of group match is enough, there wont be enough to see in qatar for 4-5 days anyway. neighbouring countries have nothing interesting to see unless i want to buy pure gold in riyadh.
Re: Asian Cup 2011 Darn I thought you were gonna go haha I was thinking of going but there is no one in the US dumb enough to go to Qatar to watch Asian football... not even family members... If anyone here plans to travel to any international tourneys please hollar ahead of time I would love to hit a tourney with some Chinese fans who actually keep track of the team. as for the 11 players in 550 million argument, please dont bring up india, malaysia and indonesia because simply put they are not sporting nations. We win olympic medals damnit! But save that discussion for a time when there isnt games going on Now I really cant wait until Saturday, really want to see this version of the NT take the field!
Re: Asian Cup 2011 other than bigsoccer china, everyone thinks you are a dumbass for following chinese football. in my facebook, sadly i am the only one who consistently update about chinese football. i am like 1 in 1000 who would talk about chinese football. anyway india, malaysia, and indonesia are somewhat sporting nations india devotes itself to cricket, indonesia relies on chinese indonesian for badminton championship, and malaysia in erm i forgot
Re: Asian Cup 2011 http://sports.163.com/11/0106/12/6PNED33L000502JE.html wrong li weifeng pamplet and now the reversed flag bus. oh qatar you are soooo $#*)(! for the second group match.
Re: Asian Cup 2011 Prices are so cheap because nobody wants to go, attendance is sure to be pretty crappy... As for traveling, I'd dream about China making 2014 and heading to Brazil, but other than that, I won't do an Asian Cup unless its a lot closer...
