Iraq 5-0 Turkmenistan. Iraq qualified to the 2016 AFC U-16 Championship in India. Top four will qualify for the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
Qatar complained about overaged players in Iraq U16 team. http://www.iraqi-players.com/?p=6920 AFC conducted tests and confirmed that Iraq is not using overaged players.
It's not 100% accurate, but up to the age of 17, doctors can check whether certain bones in the wrist are fused or not which can determine whether a person is under or over 17. Not sure if this is the tests that the AFC did on our players though. I know that FIFA does these tests randomly before FIFA sanctioned tournaments. I suspect that the AFC just looked at player birth certificate records or whatever documents that the IFA gave them and just went with it. Not much else that they can do.
MRI tests were conducted. http://www.goalnepal.com/news.php?id=25454 Nepal was disqualified for fielding an overage player.
Even though I'm not in the mood for this, U16 Championship is starting next week: 16 Sep: South Korea v Iraq 19 Sep: Iraq v Malaysia 22 Sep: Oman v Iraq
Korea 1-2 Iraq Iraq didn't play well to be honest. Very negative game but happy to take the 3 pts against arguably one of the strongest teams in the tournament.
Oman 1-1 Iraq Iraq dominated the first half and scored a goal. In the second half we completely lost it. Oman dominated and even deserved to win this game. We advance to the quarterfinals as group runners-up and we'll face either Uzbekistan or North Korea.
There are no overaged players at this tournament http://the-afc.com/media-releases/afc-strategy-to-combat-age-cheating-bears-fruit-at-india-2016
If there is I have read that Fifa is going to step up there test and test all players using the technique where they check the wrists Here is the link: http://m.goal.com/s/en-india/news/2...-world-cup-how-fifa-plans-to-catch-age-frauds
they only tested 20 players in the tournament and came to the conclusion that there's no age cheating at all? AFC is a joke though, so it's to be expected.
Difference is that Japan play the simple short pass while we just play the long ball exactly like the NT team .
